Becahi Adds a QB

Bethlehem Catholic adds Zamar Brake (Sr 6'4 200) a quarterback who threw for 1,800 yards and was 2nd team all conference for Carteret High in New Jersey last fall. 247Sports shows him with interest from Temple and UMass and it looks like he holds Patriot League offers. The highlight tape looks good, kid has a huge arm and looks like a factor in the run game too. He also has a little brother who will play receiver for the Hawks.

I think this addition makes Becahi the preseason favorite in the Valley. Brake will have serious weapons with juniors Tavion Banks and Malik Thomas and senior Zaheer Seabrooks in the backfield. Their line features Elias Marte (6'5 300) and Dalton Daddons (6'4 285) who are both FBS recruits, plus junior Jerry Lyons (6'2 275) and a boatload of starters in the back 7 on defense.

RC transfer to NG..District 12

Roman Catholic RB, Junior to be, Malik Griffin will be transferring to NG this fall. Griffin was RC's best offensive player last season.
I suppose the education at NG is much better than the education he was receiving at Roman.
I have confirmation from school that Roman will NOT be signing off on this transfer and it will be up to district 12 to make a decision.
I am interested to see what district 12 does with this situation....

Q&A with Downingtown West wide receiver Dan Byrnes

What have you been doing as of late with your workouts?
“Currently, I have been working out at Marino’s gym and been lifting with the football team at school. They are an amazing organization that care about their athletes and will do anything to help them succeed.”

“Compared to last year, my speed has greatly increased because of the certain workouts Marino’s gives me to train.”

How do you believe your team will be next season?
“I believe our team is going to do really well this year and we will be a top competitor in the South Eastern Region of Pennsylvania. We have a lot of skilled athletes that can do some damage when the ball is in their hands. What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2018?
“We have a lot of talented teams that we will be playing in the first three weeks of the season. Every year, Perk Valley, Central Bucks South and Neshaminy do really well in the postseason. Although these teams have tremendous talent, I think the most difficult team we will be playing this year is Coatesville. Granted these teams may have some talent, I give us the upper hand and think we can beat them.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?

Trump's Legacy

I heard someone the other day say that Obama's statement that everyone would be able to keep their doctor after the ACA became law was remembered and taken into account by many because he rarely lied or made a statement contrary to fact. (To say someone was lying you have to be sure the person knew what he or she was saying was false. I suspect Obama was lying in that case.) The problem with Trump is that he lies or says so many things that are contrary to fact--just think of all the instances just having to do with the current issue about separating families where Trump and his officials contradict themselves hourly repeatedly--that they all blur together and we wind up at a place where at least many of his supporters think what is true or factual can be made up if one has the right opinions or attitudes.

Some will not want to look at this because it's from the NYT, but maybe the fact that there is a football angle to the story will encourage people to give it a try: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/22/...ight-region&WT.nav=opinion-c-col-right-region

They're not helping!!!

First Samantha Bee calls Ivanka Trump the C word on national television. Then Bill Maher states that he hopes the economy goes into a recession to prove Trump wrong. Then, the night before the summit, Bobby D gets all kindergarten by saying "F@ck Trump" at the Tonys. They're not helping their cause with the other 50% of the country.

Then watching Rachel Maddow during the summit, she and Chris Matthews both took the approach, "Now that Trump has given this dictator what he wants, which is a seat at the table of nations....." "Well there won't be any talk of Human Rights on this trip" What does the media want? What does Bobby D want him to do? I think they're just pissed off Trump got Kim to the table and Clinton or Barrack or Scranton Joe or Harry Reid or Nancy couldn't do it.
