“I've been talking to all the Patriot League schools. Lehigh is my favorite out of them, but I also really like the Virginia Military Institute and loved it there when I visited. I've been on phone with a coach from Army and we'll see what happens with them, but that'd be a great opportunity.”

“Probably those three, Army, VMI, and Lehigh.”

“I've visited just about all the Patriot League teams except Georgetown, VMI and Monmouth.”

NFL Draft Top 7 QB Prospects have been analyzed by their strengths and weaknesses. We will be evaluating all prospects at the NFL Reese's SR Bowl, as we have the past 2 years. We have received over 325 names of prospects from NFL scouts/GMs. The now #1 football analyst in all of college football will break down who is going to go where by addressing each athletes overall strengths & weaknesses throughout the season. The NFL draft players in my combine/technique training program will be given proven and elite ways to improve in areas before the 2019 NFL draft.


Justin Herbert 6'6,233LBs - Oregon
Strengths: Reminds me a lot of Carson Wentz in his overall athleticism and is a major reason he is being highly regarded as the best QB in the 2019 NFL Draft. He comes from a outstanding offensive scheme that is proven to build Quarterbacks to the likes of a Marcus Mariotta and at 1:04 into the Cal highlights, you will see how well he is able to push the ball downfield. He is very well coached in "looking off" the defensive backs and has highly active feet in the pocket, while using great body weight transition upon release of the football.
Weaknesses: While Herbert has been very efficient, he lacks the big numbers you will see out of many QB's in this years NFL Draft. His mobility in the pocket will benefit him heavily at the next level, but Oregon's spread attack is always prolific in the run game nationally, which does create many wide open opportunities for the Quarterback when executing play action plays. Drew Lock 6'4, 225LB - Missouri Tigers
Strengths: Very good arm strength with outstanding accuracy. Exhibits very good timing with his receivers at Mizzou and has been the most prolific QB statistically, as he has started since his freshmen season. Led Big 12 in TD passes in 2017, over Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield.
Weaknesses: Has not played well against top opponents as cited by SB Nation. He is indecisive at times and has a slight hitch in his throwing motion that delays his delivery. This could explain how his play can drop off against more intuitive and speedy defensive backs, which should be a cause for concern moving forward and needs to be addressed moving forward.

1 State College 6A 6-0

Keaton Ellis returned the opening kick-off 97 yards for a touchdown to open the flood gates as State College jumped Central Dauphin East early then waltzed to an easy (29-7 at half) 39-15 conference win. They remain deadlocked with Harrisburg at 3-0 with Central Dauphin and Chambersburg behind them at 2-1. One of the top matches in the state occurs Saturday when SC travels to Harrisburg seeing if they can avenge last year’s 51-28 thumping. State High has a notable win against St, Augustine-NJ (3-2) 19-7 and Chambersburg (5-1) 35-16, while Harrisburg had the opening day loss to Coatesville (6-0) 37-6 then impressive wins against Cedar Cliff (4-2) 46-13 who defeat McDevitt, and a win over Central Dauphin (4-2) 20-5, who defeated Wilson and Berks Catholic. SC has more weapons while Harrisburg has Qb Kane Everson and a way underrated defense.

2 Manheim Central 5A 6-0

The Barons fell behind Cocalico early, 10-0, then responded with a 41 point outburst to defeat them 41-23 in a key Lancaster Lebanon-Section 2 game. Their massive line of Tyler Dougherty 5-11 295, Josh Painter 6-0 280, Brett Wolgemuth 6-1 260, Troy Kolk 6-2 225 and Cayden Warner 5-10 250 wore them down, pounding out 252 yards rushing. The win keeps them tied with surprising Conestoga Valley at 3-0 who also has a strong line. They’re home to Lampeter Strasburg (4-2) who will come up short here off their disappointing 28-26 home loss to Hempfield last week. Central beat them last year 41-20.

3 Harrisburg 6A 5-1

Two of the best defenses in central Pennsylvania squared off last week when Harrisburg traveled the short ride to Central Dauphin for a key Mid Penn Commonwealth game. Once again Qb Kane Everson was the difference, throwing for two 2nd half scores after the Rams shut them down in the 1st half, holding a 5-0 lead. A 42 yard Pick-6 iced it for the Cougars who won their 5th straight game, beating the Rams 20-5. Harrisburg edged them 258 to 238 in total yards. State College is next in a game that will likely decide the conference crown and impact District-3 postseason alignment although SC is in D6. Harrisburg is currently #1 in 6A District-3 postseason standings.

4 Bishop McDevitt 4A 5-1

McDevitt raced out to a 35-0 first half lead, before the subs took over in an easy 49-7 win at home against Waynesboro (3-3). CJ Reyes-Diggs rushed for 220 yards as Nazir Burnett had 146 yards on 4 receptions. Qb Chase Diehl completed 6 of 10 passes for 195 yards before sitting as most of the team did early. Total yardage saw the Crusaders up 516 yards to 56 while holding Waynesboro to zero yards rushing. 1-5 Lower Dauphin is next, coming off a 48-14 thumping at Cedar Cliff.

5 Wilson 6A 4-2

Wilson and Manheim Township got into a slugfest like Harrisburg-Central Dauphin, battling for conference supremacy where Wilson’s rebuilt squad edged the Streaks 16-14. It was a great confidence builder for them at this point in the season having lost to Central Dauphin 23-7 and Manheim Central 20-10 earlier. Township was previously undefeated with quality wins over Central Dauphin and Cocalico. The win keeps Wilson (2-0) tied atop the LL-1 with Warwick (3-0). Hempfield is up next coming in off 2 straight wins including last week’s road win at Lampeter Strasburg 28-26.

6 Manheim Township 6A 5-1

Township suffered their first loss last week in a game that was essentially dead even. Wilson out-yardaged them 260 to 254 and were 2 points better on the scoreboard, winning 16-14. Qb Harrison Kirk threw for 145 yards (7 of 22) but Anthony Futrick of Wilson was better, completing 11 of 18 for 166 yards. Neither could get the running game going with the Bulldogs held to 94 yards to Township’s 109. The big and bad Warwick Warriors are next, rolling down the pike from Lititz on a 3 game winning streak with their only loss being a 27-20 stumble at Manheim Central where they lost a 10 nothing lead! They play great defense, but how about Township’s that features at least 10 underclassman starting or getting significant time.

7 Central Dauphin 6A 4-2.

The Rams lost a hard fought, physical encounter with Harrisburg last week, 20-5, but showed real development in the passing attack with Noah Hoffman completing 21 of 32 passes for 190 yards. They’re at Altoona Friday where the Lions may have found new life at 3-3 following the 49-42 overtime road win at Carlisle. They have some nice parts and the Mansion has often been a difficult venue for many teams. With State College and Chambersburg looming, CD can’t slip up with only 8 slots for the 6A District-3 playoffs.

8 Berks Catholic 4A 4-2

Berks Catholic built a 38-8 halftime lead then sat the starters in a 52-8 win against Hamburg to open Berks Inter County-Section 1 action. 4 year starting Qb Terry Derr completed 5 of 6 passes for 160 yards before leaving while Abdul MacFoy rushed for 52 yards on 2 carries with Luis Garcia getting 72 after 3 carries. After playing state power Central Dauphin plus national and regional powers McDonogh and Malvern Prep, conference games against Hamburg (2-4), Fleetwood (1-5), Kutztown (0-6) and Schuylkill Valley (3-3) seem trite and are far from competitive. Only Wyomissing (3A, 5-1) offers the hope of a competitive game. This week’s opponent is Kutztown who has scored 12 points all year. As always BC will feast on their light weight Section-2 competition to enter the postseason on a monster roll where they’ve won 3 straight district titles and 4 of the last 5.

9 Southern Columbia 2A 6-0

Southern got their 67th regular season win, scoring on their first 6 possessions to take a 40-0 half time lead against South Williamsport. #2 Qb Preston Zachman filled in well for Stone Hollenback (out since Mount Carmel game) completing 7 of 9 passes for 158 yards and 2 touchdowns. They rolled up a 466 to 234 total yardage advantage, winning 54-20. Jersey Shore (3-3) is next, and with losses to Selinsgrove 31-10 and MCA 47-7, teams SCA beat 48-0 and 51-7 respectively, you know how this one will play out.

10 York (William Penn) 5A 6-0

The White Rose city is kicking “A” and taking names, beating Dallastown 68-35 as they continue morphing into something other than the team that started the season, something like Harrisburg. The total yardage was staggering, York 611, Dallastown 475. If you like offense, there’s nothing like the York-Adams for balls to the wall excitement! Have to mention receiver Rob Rideout who had 225 yards in receptions for 2 scores and 82 yards rushing for 2 more. Running back Dayjure Stewart was his usual self, running for 173 yards and 4 scores. And how about Qb Seth Bernstein completing 8 of 12 passes for 298 yards and 4 scores. Wow, they have some weapons! They’re at Red Lion Friday where the Lions will be hungry coming off a 23-16 upset by Northeastern. York’s looking to get some too after losing to them last year 31-14.

11 Warwick 6A 5-1

Warwick has a large and productive offense at 47ppg but guess what one of their best kept secrets is? It’s the defense that allowed 50 points all year, or, 8.3ppg. They have 3 shutouts to date and will need every bit of that plus their offense this week at Manheim Township who is also 5-1, but coming off their first loss of the year. Warwick’s tandem Qbs have Joey McCracken completing 32 of 44 passes (73%, 6/0 ratio) for 530 yards and Adam Ricketts completing 58 of 92 (63%, 10/3 ratio) for 1087 yards. Township beat them last year 45-7. And there’s big ramifications here in the LL-1 with Warwick undefeated and tied with Wilson with Township lurking a game behind.

12 Cocalico 5A 4-2

There are easier schedules than facing Manheim Township and Manheim Central back to back but that’s how it played out this year with mandatory crossover games that while trying, have been exciting. The Barons are just too big and too good despite Cocalico getting the early jump for a 10-0 lead. This Friday they’ll try to stop the 2 game slide traveling to Conestoga Valley (5-1) who is tied with Manheim Central at 2-0 atop the LL-2.

13 Cedar Cliff 5A 4-2

That’s 3 straight wins for the CC Colts who swamped Lower Dauphin 48-14 to hold onto 1st place with Susquehanna Township in the Mid Penn Keystone, a game ahead of Hershey and McDevitt. Chris Dare was special, completing 11 of 14 throws for 180 yards, mostly to Bobby Whalen who snagged 4 for 142 yards while Jaheim Morris blasted out 170 yards on 15 carries. The Colts are looking good since beating McDevitt 3 weeks ago. 2-4 Hershey is next.

14 Chambersburg 6A 5-1

Chambersburg got their first win against Cumberland Valley since 1993 last week, beating the Eagles 28-14. They have the Mid Penn’s leading rusher in Keyshawn Jones who led the way with 106 yards and 2 touchdowns. That win was a nice rebound from a tough encounter with State College the week before and keeps Cumberland Valley winless at 0-6. Incredible. The Trojans are at CD East Friday who is a 17-10 loss to Manheim Township in the opener from being undefeated at home and 3-3. East won last year 36-26. Any look ahead here to Harrisburg the following week then Central Dauphin will get them defeated.

15 Middletown 3A 5-1

Qb Scott Ash was in the groove against Boiling Springs completing 9 of 11 passes for 232 yards with touchdown tosses of 70, 57 and 25 yards. Christopher Joseph caught 2 of those, finishing with 3 receptions for 140 yards. The backfield tandem of Jose Lopez and Richie Sykes rushed for 174 and 117 yards respectively as the Blue Raiders blew out the Bubblers 51-14. Up next is undefeated Milton Hershey (6-0) in a Mid Penn-Capital showdown.

So I sat on this Info for a while, waiting to see the outcome of the next few games. Towards the end of the Ridley vs Radnor game the Ridley AD went over to the Radnor sideline and began to chastise Radnor’s coaching staff and players for running up the score. Saying that it’s unsportsmanlike and that “Ridley won’t forget this!”
Ridley is down and that eventually happens with everything happing today as it relates to sports. It’s cyclical. But for him to go to the opposing teams sidleline during the game and admonish them is RIDICULOUS. RIDLEY ran it up on lesser programs for DECADES! Right, wrong or indifferent the issue is this crybaby AD (who was on teams who ran it often) complaining because it makes his hand picked chosen savior of the program look bad is laughable. Everyone goes through peaks and valleys now... Even Ridley. Just shut up and take the beating. You reap what you sow.

16 Central York 6A 5-1

Cade Pribula had another solid performance completing 14 of 24 passes for 326 yards while throwing 6 touchdowns to defeat mismatched South Western 54-14. The win keeps them tied with Dallastown, Red Lion, and Northeastern who are all 2-1 in a typical York-Adams race behind York High who is undefeated. 1-5 Spring Grove is next where Delaware recruit Pribula will add to his stats.

17 Conrad Weiser 4A 5-1

Weiser got an important conference win against Exeter 23-12 to take over first place (4-0) in the Berks Inter County Conference and will need another LARGE effort at Roscoe Warner Field in Harrisburg against surging Susquehanna Township out of the Mid Penn-Keystone, a team they edged last year 12-7. Both are in the 4A classification looking to position themselves well for one of the 10 District-3 playoff slots.

18 Red Lion 6A 4-2

Red Lion was upset last week by Northeastern (3-3) 23-16, a young team they beat last year 47-34. Prior to last week’s result, RL gave Central York their only loss of the year, a whopping 58-26 stunner, and lost to a team we now know is at least representative in Chambersburg, 28-19. So what are they going to do this week at home against undefeated York? Who knows in the YA with York only facing Cedar Crest (3-3) and Reading (1-5) on the road. Stay tuned!

19 Dallastown 6A 3-3

The Wildcats fell behind York 34-7 at the half then battled back with a 21 point 3rd quarter to make a game of it, entering the 4th quarter behind 40-28. From thereon it was all York who went on another tear, outscoring Dallastown 28-7 to secure the 68-35 win. Dtown had a pile of yards, 475, with their great back Nyzair Smith getting 228 yards on 33 carries for 3 touchdowns. Quarterback Jordan Cook completed 11 of 21 passes for 168 yards. But the Bearcats compiled 611 total yards! York-Adams action continues Friday at home against 2-4 New Oxford.

20 Williamsport 6A 4-2

Williamsport won their 3rd straight game beating Scranton 27-10 with running back Treyson Potts on the sideline. Qb Joe Fagnano stepped up throwing for 170 yards and rushing for another 76. Wide out Marcus Simmons had 122 yards in receptions. Pittston (3-3), who has struggled against any level of competition losing to Berwick (5-1) 38-0 and Dallas (6-0) 41-21 saw the bottom fall out last week against West Scranton (3-3) losing 41-14, They’re up next at Pittston.

21 Exeter Township 5A 3-3

The Eagles lost another tough road game to Conrad Weiser 23-12 after losing at Spring Ford 33-27 in overtime 3 weeks ago. Colin Payne threw for 212 yards but was sacked 3 times by the swarming Scout defense. Exeter needs to get its act together with any hopes of securing one of the postseason’s 14 playoff slots, especially as they’re currently 17th.

22 Hempfield 6A 3-3 Hempfield got back to .500 with their 2nd consecutive win beating a decent Lampeter Strasburg (4-2) 28-26. LS out-yardaged them 412 to 366 but fell short on points. At 1-1, Hempfield is still in the LL-1 race, tied with Manheim Township behind Wilson at 2-0 and Warwick at 3-0. And they’re in a dog fight with Dallastown for the 8th 6A District-3 playoff slot. But now they have to travel to Wilson who’s starting to look like Wilson (swarming D, balanced O), winning on the road against a quality opponent to give Manheim Township their first loss of the season, 16-14. Wilson won 21-10 last year and seems to be coming on, allowing but 20 points to Manheim Central and 14 to Manheim Township, both on the road.

23 Governor Mifflin 5A 3-3

Governor Mifflin won their 3rd straight game after opening the year with 3 straight losses by rolling over Twin Valley 42-7. The reloading Mustangs unleashed freshman Nick Singleton who rushed for 228 yards on 27 carries, scoring 4 touchdowns. Offensively they’re developing, as the new OL jells, averaging 44ppg the last 3 outings. The D is coming around as well, holding TV to 122 total yards and zero rushing while allowing 11ppg the last 3 games. The win keeps them in 1st place (3-0) tied with Weiser (4-0) and ahead of Exeter (1-1). 3-3 Daniel Boone is next, coming to Shillington where Mifflin will get their 4th consecutive win.

24 Mount Carmel 2A 4-2

Qb Tom Reisinger completed 8 of 18 passes for 174 yards and 3Tds to rout Mifflinburg 35-0 in a Heartland-2 game. The Red Tornadoes defense was stifling, holding Mburg to 2 first downs and 22 net yards. 22! Winless Hughesville (0-6) is next, coming off a tough slate of teams, losing to Montoursville (3A 5-1) 42-0, erratic Central Columbia (3A, 3-3), South Williamsport (1A, 4-2) 54-22 and undefeated Wellsboro (2-1, 6-0) 28-7. MCA will name the score here, resting many of the starters prepping for South Williamsport whose only losses are Muncy (5-1) and SCA (6-0).

25 Altoona 6A 3-3

The Mountain Lions got their first win since rejoining the Mid Penn Commonwealth this year in an exciting 49-42 double overtime road win at Carlisle. Got to love a road win for rebuilding programs. Connor Adams had touchdowns of 59, 19 and 46 yards on 8 receptions for 115 yards from Qb Connor McCarthy who completed 14 of 29 for 240 yards. Running back Mitchell Lawhead had 158 yards on 28 carries making it a balanced attack that corralled the Herd. Central Dauphin is next coming to Mansion Park Friday night.

26 Conestoga Valley 5A 5-1

Fb Keegan Martin (6-1, 240, sr) rushed for 150 yards and threw a 41 yard touchdown pass at the end of the 2nd quarter, lighting a spark that fueled a 42-14 win against Garden Spot after holding a tenuous 21-14 halftime lead. Unheralded Qb Brady Stoltzfus completed 12 of 17 passes for 220 yards and rushed for 68 more as the Bucks swamped G-Spot (!) 476 to 276 in total yards. The win keeps them atop the LL-2 with Manheim Central at 2-0. This weekend sees them playing their most difficult game of the season with Cocalico coming in averaging 224 yards rushing per game. CV is more balanced and home so a win would not surprise….at all.

27 Carlisle 6A 3-3

Carlisle showed off running backs Tristyn Sulich who rushed for 214 yards and 3 touchdowns and Benjamin Nix who got 140 on 10 carries plus 2 scores in a heartbreaking double overtime loss to Altoona 49-42. They’re at Cumberland Valley Friday where the Eagles will be battling for their first win. Carlisle has more (if they believe) and can avoid being intimidated by CV’s long history of dominance.

28 Milton Hershey 4A 6-0

The Spartans are a veteran team with 8 back on both sides averaging 36ppg while allowing 9. They have solid wins against Annville Cleona (4-2) and Susquehanna Township (4-2) and are currently in a 3-way tie with Middletown and Palmyra atop the Mid Penn-Capital Division at 3-0. That will all change Friday trying to derail powerful Middletown who crushed them last year 45-7. Middletown has been there and done that, advancing to the state finals two consecutive years so we’ll see how Milton Hershey holds up under this playoff like pressure.

29 Susquehanna Township 4A 4-2

Hanna is rolling now winning 4 straight games, averaging 37ppg while allowing 9 after opening with losses to undefeated Manheim Central 44-0 and undefeated Milton Hershey 14-9. Qb Rahsaan Carlton is performing well, completing 19 of 33 passes for 288 yards his last 2 games while Troy Ambush has become a threat getting 149 yards against Mechanicsburg last week in a 45-7 win. They’re at home to Conrad Weiser Friday in a weird mid-season non-league game that nevertheless has real consequences with both jockeying for 4A postseason positioning. Hanna will be tough at Roscoe Warner Field flexing some Mid Penn muscle.

30 Palmyra 5A 6-0

Palmyra remained unbeaten in a Mid Penn-Capital Division war, scoring with 1:47 to play to defeat Steelton Highspire’s Rollers 42-36. Talk about a quality effort. The Rollers were coming off a 48-40 loss to archrival Middletown the week before, losing 48-40, but still cranked out 468 total offense here. Nicari Williams completed 25 of 42 passes for 410 yards throwing 4 Tds. But Palmyra’s Grant Haus was even more, throwing for 136 yards and 3 scores while completing 12 of 19 passes. He also hoofed it for 138 yards and 3 more scores. The Capital is like the Wild-Wild West and one of the more exciting divisions in the state with Middletown, Palmyra, Milton Hershey and Steel High slugging it out on a weekly basis. Having tooted the MP-Capital’s horn, how good is Double-A Delone Catholic below, after destroying Steelton Highspire 54-19? The Cougars are at 4A Boiling Springs Friday to see what the 2-4 Bubblers can do.

Delone Catholic 2A 6-0

If Delone was in the aforementioned conference above they’d be 2-0 with wins against Trinity 47-7 (Camp Hill) and Steelton Highspire 54-19, making them one bad ass deuce. They score 50ppg. And with 3 shutouts they are allowing but 6ppg. The DL is anchored by Zach Groft (6-0, 265, sr), DEs Chico Oparanozie (5-11, 200) and Marquis Suite (6-3, 215). The OL returns 4, with a stable of veteran backs and senior quarterback Evan Brady (6-0, 185) who threw for 1564 yards and 18 touchdowns. They’ve already defeated archrival Littlestown, meaning Bermudian Springs (4-2) and undefeated York Catholic (6-0) still stand in their way in the York-Adams-3. Knowing they beat Steel High 54-19 begs the question how they’d do against Middletown (5-1) and Palmyra (6-0) who the Rollers put 40 and 36 points on. They’re at Bermudian Springs Friday. And because they couldn’t slow Shippensburg’s shifty running back Adam Houser (956 yards thru 6), allowing him 234 yards 4 weeks ago, they will have great difficulty here, slowing Delone’s multiple backs that simply wear you out!

So I was reading the new Transfer Guidelines and need one of the statements translated:

This is pulled directly from the New Guidelines FAQ:
Who does the “Post Season Transfer Rule” apply to and what does it mean?

• Students who transfer after playing a sport in their 10th grade year or thereafter, are eligible to participate in all regular season contests, but will be ineligible for post season contests

Does this mean that if you transfer after Aug 6th, 2018 and played in 10th Grade at another PIAA HS. You are now ineligible to play in the playoffs for your 11th Grade year or both 11th and 12th Grade? If it is the 2nd, than this is way to harsh of a penalty.
