D11 Votes for Neutral Site District Final

D11 voted today to do away with home field advantage though out the playoffs in the new system. Quarters and semis will still be hosted by the higher seed, but the final will move neutral, likely either BASD or JBC.

I know this is how it's done literally everywhere else in the state, but I think there is something lost not playing these games on campus sites. And with so many of these teams playing each other during the year, it detracts from whatever meaning the regular season has. In my opinion, it's too bad.

1st Annual Bucks/Montco All-Star Game this Friday at Tennent

Just stumbled across this article. I had no idea the game was even being played. To piggyback the thread of the city game, there isn't much media coverage on any of these games. Rosters are listed in the article. The game will be dedicated to Roger Grove who recently passed away.

PCC Adds Burns

Pittsburgh Central Catholic apparently added Miami (FL) commit Thomas Burns, a 5'9 160 pound corner from Miami Northwestern High School. Will be a nice fill in for Damar Hamlin.

That gives them defensive starters going to Notre Dame (2), Penn State, and Miami, with another handful of kids with FBS offers on that side of the ball. Should be a strong favorite to repeat.

Hello PA!!!!

As I am sure most of you have seen/own the documentary about Stefan Djordjevic and Coach Nickerson that came out awhile ago. What you probably don't know, is that most of us from the documentary post and share our stories on the Mosports page. Stef and Nickerson/Fox don't want to come back to the PA board. Too many memories I guess. Well I still live in Ampipe and work the steel mills!!!

St. Joe's home games

Someone mentioned to me the other day that St. Joe's Prep maybe playing some of their home games at Widener. Thought that was odd but remembered they aren't exactly enamored with their current deal at PW. Anyone hear this rumor? If true just think on any given Friday and Saturday night in the fall you could see West Catholic and St. Joes play in Chester.

Rumors from Stoga

Just received confirmation even during the holiday weekend, " I'm always working ". Dante Coles has now refused the Head Coaching job at Stoga after accepting it. Not sure yet what has happened between the administration and him but it looks like it will now go to someone else probably Weeks. Also it could have something to do with the " RUMOR" that will be coming out in June, not exactly sure what the so called Rumor is but it looks serious and when I can confirm what it is I will let the board know.

They wanted to keeep obamacare price increases quiet until after the election, but.....

It was announced today, on NBC News of all places, that the following states are proposing huge increases in the premiums:

Oregon: 30%
Virginia: 23%
New York: 17%
Washington: 13.5%

No mention of the other states; these might have been the "leaders" or might have been the first four to announce. In any case, the dunderheads who were talking up obamacare on this board are now nowhere to be found. Is anyone surprised? Combining a bad healthcare plan with uninformed, biased people and it's a recipe for disaster.

Also, one state is proposing to eliminate the so-called bronze plan because it would have needed a 70% premium increase to be sustained.

Anger!

Listening to KYW two, three, four times a day I heard Philly Mayor Jim Kenney say he was surprised that the US seems to be at a point where Donald Trump is acceptable. Not backing Trump, I have to say the fault lies with present politicians. Do they think we'll just go along with every childish game they play? The public is tired and angry with politicians period. And that is the real reason you have two polar opposites in the race....Trump and Sanders. The people are just trying to find something new that might work. It is Obama's fault, John Boehner's fault, Hillary's fault, it is the fault of every person in office now!! Examples? The republicans want the new president to pick the Supreme Court Justice. And the Dems are saying "See, they don't play nice!" Well look up Biden from '92 and Schumer from '07. Same childish game. And we suffer!! I hope Trump does make it just to shove a little shock value into the equation!! Hillary is out there PANDERING for every vote from every faction she can visit promising the moon. Cruz is pulling Nixon tricks. Same old same old!! And the reason the US seems to be at a point where Trump is acceptable? Anger!!

Did you every wonder how great players end up at catholic schools in the middle of the year I DO

So lets air it out and how it works I have been told by multiple delco teams that kids on these Catholic school teams, let's just say such as West Catholic,Bonner, and so on. The kid from Catholic school who knows some of the best players on these teams from the delco area will text the player say this number will call you, then the number will call and that number is 75% of the time a coach and 25% of the time an associate of that coach or team makes contact to the kid and the process begins, with promises of college scholarships and very reduced tuition for the school. Sounds fair Huck. Play in your own playground
