PIAA Classification Numbers Rule

My nephew who is a PIAA official up in Scranton came down to Philly for a visit this past weekend and told me about a classification numbers rule that will most likely negatively affect one program. Up in District 2, Mountain View does not field a football team but an agreement was made that anyone interested in football has to play at neighboring Montrose which is every bit of a half hour drive. Only a couple kids will go out there to play and as a result, from the moment anyone from Mountain View sends someone to Montrose, by rule the school has to add the numbers of all Mountain View students when the reclassification is assigned. As a result Montrose will most likely move up a couple classifications.

I never knew this rule existed and the fact is that there are more than just a couple kids that would play if it were not for the ride the kids would have to make each day for practice. I'm not sure if this has happened here closer to Southeast PA but to me it seems an absurd rule.Has this rule existed since PIAA's incepton?

The Debates!

I'm not sure what to make of it. Hindsight being twenty twenty, there were at least five candidates who should never have made the stage. Just a waste of time and air. But on the whole I think the Democrats are playing to their base which will kill them in the end. They are playing to a third of the country. The rest of the country is republican and independent and no one over 30 in those two parties will ever vote for "free healthcare for illegal immigrants, free public college tuition, forgiveness of student loans". Make college more affordable, not free!! Why should anyone have to pay for someone else's child to go to college. College is not and never has been a right. The education the public gets up to high school should be enough to get someone on their way. And by the way, not everyone should go to college. For some it would be just a waste of time.

Now i know I'll take heat for this but enough with the immigrants!! That picture of the father and daughter in the Rio Grande is tragic. Tears your heart out. But what are we to do about it. We have homeless in the streets of every major city. The opioids epidemic is in high gear. Our infrastructure is almost beyond repair. (I live near Plymouth Meeting and if you don't believe that, try commuting up and around Stenton, Ridge and Germantown at rush hour). My point is we have so many issues here at home, I'm sorry for immigrants lose but we have to be healthy to help other people get healthy. Or at least figure out what's wrong with their home countries!!
