What a great win for the Vikings. it makes me wonder now ,that if it were a dry day if Wood would have played Paramus Catholic much closer. BTW next week Wood/ St Joe Prep. Wow !!!!

That's a tremendous win for Wood. Bergen travels to Cali next week against Mater Dei.

Hard to figure out logic this season.

Wood beats Bergen, Bergen beats DePaul, Depaul beats Paramus, Paramus beats Wood.

DTW beats Nesh, Nesh beats Pennridge, Pennridge beats Perk Valley, Perk Valley beats DTW.

You have to wonder if Bergen underestimated Wood because of the margin by which Paramus Catholic beat Wood. And maybe they were looking past Wood to the trip to California. In retrospect it looks like Wood was at a disadvantage with the weather conditions of last week and--has been the case in the past--they sometimes give up turnovers in bunches.

As we all know, comparing scores is typically a poor way to predict the outcome of a game. I doubt Bergen's coaching staff took Wood lightly. However, as their head coach pointed out, it can be difficult to keep 15-18 year old kids focused on the task at hand.

Match ups play a big part too. Some teams match up better against certain teams.
