Without going into all the boring analysis, I think they're simply a better team. At any rate, it sure appears to be a competitive game. That is unless the Eagles stomp them. Any opinions?

Eagles are definitely the better team, however Mahomes will finish his career as the GOAT, so that evens things out a bit. That being said I’ll take Eagles 29-22

Sidenote: Terry Bradshaw Super Bowl stats: 9 TDs, 4 ints, 4-0 record
Ben Roethlisberger Super Bowl stats:
3 Tds, 5 ints, 2-1 record

Bradshaw is underrated in the city of Pittsburgh

Chiefs have major advantage at QB and the better HC. But, the rest of the Birds' roster and coaching staff might be enough to overcome.

I think if Hurts plays like he has been playing in the postseason, that balances out the perceived invincibility of Mahomes. Obviously neither side can afford turnovers and penalties especially in their own territory. But if all that evens out, I'm on the Eagles winning comfortably.
Hopefully it's an entertaining game although I'm still grieving the Ravens losing after thinking this was their year.

he has a long way to go to catch Brady, on top of that Brady will always have the AFC title game and Super Bowl win against them

i would say Mahomes needs at least 8 Super Bowls and he has to get one of them with another team too to have any argument over Brady

I think KC will win, they just always seem to find a way

hoping for Philly even though I hate them

Eagles win tomorrow would give Whitehall a third alum with a Super Bowl ring, and a seventh ring for a Zephyr alum, with Saquon Barkley joining linebacker Matt Millen (two with the Raiders, one with the 49ers, one with the Redskins) and center Dan Koppen (one with the Patriots and one with the Broncos) as Super Bowl champions. Not bad.

I can tell you it's nuts out here in Delco. Lots of green, positivity and little remaining on the WAWA, CVS, 7-Eleven shelves!

Mahomes isn't even Montana, let alone Brady

he needs at least 5 to have an argument over him considering his bad Super Bowl numbers

True, although I predict he’s probably going to make multiple more Super Bowl trips. The AFC seems incapable of beating them and he’s only 29

If Mahomes is going to make multiple more super bowl appearances he better get a better team around him as that's the worst SB team I've seen. Gutty, Gritty and well coached but that group is wearing out or worn out. You saw it often thru the season. But to their credit, Reed's coaching, the D and Mahomes, they pulled those games out. I don't think they get past Buffalo or Baltimore next year.

Plenty of teams that could push the Chiefs out of the Super Bowl next year, but they have to figure out a way to finish the game against Mahomes in the playoffs. Bills, Ravens, Bengals, Broncos, or Texans are the easy ones to spot, but maybe some other AFC team figures it out first.

For me, Mahomes needs to win MVP of the league a few times along with more SB's to be considered as the goat.

I enjoyed the can of whoop ass.

he has 2 mvp's, Brady and Favre have 3, Rodgers has 4 and Manning has 5

mvp's should matter but most people seem to only care about super bowls

Joe Starkey of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette had Roethlisberger as a top 10 quarterback of all time, which is beyond insane and stupid, he never got a single mvp vote

Regular season success needs to carry less weight than postseason success, especially in the free agency era. Winners win more than they lose in the postseason.

That was one of the more thorough beat downs you'll likely see in a SB. Wow. But, they were overrated and I imagine Vegas may have been 'sided' on this one. I had them by three TDs (21, not 18) and just missed a big pool. Still fun.

The NFC looks very exciting next year with Phl, DC, Was, Det, Min, GB and especially LA fielding exciting teams. That is if they can hold them together.
And I don't know what to think of the Ravens with great teams the last two years shooting themselves in the foot, again. Their window is closing and may be closed.

shfoot, were you in Philly today? We couldn't get past Penrose/Pattison (20th?) per HUGE crowds and went a little too late. Crowds estimated at 700K to a Mil !

I've got ties in LA and they predicted Eagles by 2 TD's. They weren't too far off.
We went to our favorite watering hole yesterday to watch. Our daughter took her two oldest.

I don't like the Eagles, but i have all the respect in the world for the organization

they fired their super bowl winning coach 2 years after he won the game, they even threatened to fire Sirianni

they are the opposite of the Steelers, they demand excellence and don't care what you did for them yesterday

pro sports are supposed to be cutthroat, not loyal to a fault

I would've fired Tomlin after the 2013 season when they had two straight 8-8 seasons, a playoff embarrassment to Tim Tebow and Tomlin trying to trip Jacoby Jones... let alone after the complete irrelevancy they have been under Tomlin since that decade+ ago

It's asshame they can't fire Jerry Jones, but then again, keep it up Jerry, all the money you make can't get you a championship.

debate I had at my local gym today, who’s on your Mt Rushmore of Pittsburgh sports players?

Steelers' records since Tomlin wandered on the field to impede Jones in 2013.

2013 2-3 (They lost that game vs Ravens)
2014 11-5
2015 10-6
2016 11-5
2017 13-3
2018 9-6-1
2019 8-8
2020 12-4
2021 9-7-1
2022 9-8
2023 10-7
2024 10-7

Not too bad - karma didn't really get him with win-loss, but it damaged his character which I thought was pretty solid until that game. We all have flaws, maybe he made up for the karma hit in other ways.

Aside from that, I'm not sure consistency at the HC/OC/DC spots is required for success in the NFL in these days. The Birds have been somewhat of a revolving door and have been to 3 Super Bowls in the last 8 years. Crazy.

I don't follow the pros avidly but what in the heck happened following 2020 where the W/L fell to 38-29 (56.7%) after going 76-40 (65.5%) his preceding tenure? That's a precipitous fall!

Tomlins a really good floor raiser. My criticism of him and the management I guess is drafting. Kenny Pickett was about as ineffective a quarterback as I’ve ever seen. But hey he has a Super Bowl ring now

I had Lemieux and Crosby aswell, but then I added Clemente and mean Joe Greene
The logic behind my 4 is that they were all at one time the greatest player in their leagues regardless of position.

Mario, Sid, and Jagr are arguably top 10 of all time in NHL history.

Jagr doesn't get enough credit imo because he didn't get it done after Mario got sick but he was the flagship player of NHL for quite sometime.

Maybe Arnold Palmer gets on that Mountain too..

My all-time Pittsburgh Mt Rushmore in terms of city importance would go like this

Joe Greene
Roberto Clemente
Mario Lemieux
Sidney Crosby

I would probably add a #5 to that list and it would be Big Ben...

I’m not sure how we got here, but Bradshaw? Harris?
Right, how did we get here. So........I have the Eagles continuing their recent domination of the NFC (L?) so long as they keep that line together.
Det is a monster in waiting
LA is scary looking for next year
Wash....ditto LA
GB is a BIG over rate, Qb needs A LOT of work
Minn, TB, Sea....trouble but a little short minus big move in the off season

Full confession; I watch/follow the pros but don't know them like I use to know college ball before NLI.
