Verbally committed to Penn State a few days ago after backing out of his VTech commit. Hes now the 2nd QB in the class for PSU. His stock has really taken off in the last 12 months or so. 247 has him as a 4 star player, ranked as the 4th best player in Pa, the 11th best QB in the country and the 177th player overall for C/O 26'

Last year he committed to VT right after Huhn committed to Penn State. I wonder if a decommit there is coming.

When the article ran last week in the MCall about how Falzone’s dad and James Franklin had such a good relationship stemming from the Jahan Dotson recruitment, I had a feeling this one was over.

As I’ve written here a lot, I think Falzone is really good. Best QB recruit up here in a long, long time. I think Easton coach Matt Senneca is the only other Valley kid to play quarterback for the Nittany Lions.

Nazareth should be pretty good this year. They’ll have to figure out how to play defense, but with Falzone and Marquez Wimberly they’ll score a ton of points.

Two SE PA kids to Mizzou - some local connection?
Sean Gleeson is the QB coach there, he was at Princeton for a while. I think is from Jersey.

Mizzou used to have a ln eastern Pa guy on staff, I remember there was a connection where Jaleel Clark from Parkland committed there a million years ago.

plus prebula transferring from penn state who was from central york.
Good call - totally forgot about Beau going there. Time will tell if PSU made the correct choice.

Also just noticed he was also at Rutgers more recently which probably established relationships with those three PA QBs.

QB recruiting is a challenging situation as there is really only one spot per year (aside from injuries). Did Falzone get cold feet due to the buzz around Huhn, did Auburn open the vault, does Auburn not currently have any competition at the spot when Falzone will arrive, other?

Too early to commit unless you're a legacy or lifer to a university - coaches and ADs come and go.

Would we be surprised if Huhn eventually ends up elsewhere with a bag of money? Does Falzone reconsider PSU then?

I thought it was weird that Falzone committed to Penn State knowing he was the second quarterback in the class. Heck, he committed to Virginia Tech days after Huhn committed to Penn State in the first place, which is what I thought was the forcing function in the first place.

That said, I think Hugh Freeze is a scum bag, but Falzone’s skill set fits nicely into his offense.
