What's the real story at Neshaminy? Is he still the head coach or not?

As of right now Frederick is still the head coach at Neshaminy, if he leaves which sources tell me he might not, a few guys that would be exceptional candidates would be. Coach McShane from Pennsbury, a good defensive coordinator that many feel he'd be a great hire. Coach Techtman would be a flat out score, he's turned the Egan program around and back to respectability and not many better people around. Kervick who was on Schmidts staff at Neshaminy, but him and Schweiker would both probably apply and if one got it, the other would be on staff. The lone guy from the current staff would be McGintty, he seemed to be just what coach Frederick wanted on his staff and keeping things the same in that fact would be a good transition. Just a few thoughts.

Ducks n' Bucks

The CFP championship game

Here's our favorite time of the year, well, one of them….the playoffs, a thing we take to like a duck takes to water. Some say Ohio State looks like a sitting duck, maybe a lame duck, but I'm guessing they'll deliver a good bang for the buck. So while Oregon tries to get their ducks in a row, Ohio State will attempt to show the buck stops here. Oregon coaches can't pass the buck in this one and better duck and cover that sitting duck secondary of theirs before State makes duck soup out of it. So for those looking for a rout, buck up everybody. You know what they say, if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it just might be a good football game.

Ok, the serious stuff: Here are some stats from the net on the upcoming game Monday. Things like average total rush and pass yards, offensive and defensive, points for-points against with Red Zone efficiency as well. Also did a fast check of rosters by state. Be interesting seeing how (if?) Coach Meyer can slow things down unless he feels he can win a track meet. The obvious is the tried and true grinding it out approach, keeping Oregon's O on the sidelines. I'd like to see if someone can flip that, keeping Oregon's defense on the field by stopping their offense on consecutive series, an inverse approach to get the Duck's D back on the field after less than 2 minutes rest given how fast the offense sets and goes. OSU has a staff steeped in spread philosophy and a group of athletes that are much more than FSU's bunch if last week's games are any indication. Who knows but it sure looks like a great game. Here's some info. Check it out.

Inquirer Top Choices for 2014

Philadelphia Inquirer published a Season in Review which named SEPA Top Picks for 2014 with articles cited below.

We all may have differing opinions, I am sure, but for all of the kids on the list, it is rewarding to be noticed.
With almost all choices coming from 4 A and 3 A, I'm happy Donte Simmons was recognized on 2nd Team Defense.

Congratulations to all the Honorees and best of luck to all the Seniors in SEPA. May they remember teammates and all the hard work and sacrifice that they gave to HS football, knowing it was a very special time in their lives that can never be repeated. They answered the call to represent their school and program. No matter what the outcome, they should be proud of the tremendous efforts they delivered.

Know your feeling good PA2CAMoleskinner on G-Tech's win!

Congrats on your alma mater kicking SEC butt yesterday Skinner Man beating Miss State. Thought they might need you in the backfield like back in the day when you donned the uni but they ran all over them without you.. Mother says Go Bulldogs but we switched allegiance for the day for your Yellow Jackets. Great win for Tech and the ACC, hopefully shutting Paul Finebaum up a while with SEC going 0-3 yesterday. .

Under Armour Game - Wood's Ryan Bates

Tune into the Under Armour Game Friday at 4:00 ESPN

Archbishop Wood's OT Ryan Bates #52 on Black Team "Team Armour"

Killing it down in Orlando during practice this week.

Getting great reviews in the one on ones

Best player to ever come out of ARCHBISHOP WOOD with the best up side for Sunday!

Probably be snapping to Hackenberg at PSU in the next 8 months

What a great young man and a great representation of the Wood Football program!

So lucky to have him as the face of the Wood Program!

football is king

In a New York Times article in todays paper it discusses how college football revenue is now getting close to that of the NFL. Nick Saban getting $7 million a year and now Harbaugh signing a big contract with Michigan. I read people on here talk about the athletes going to soccer or lacrosse. That's BS, the athletes are playing football. As Ohio State QB Cardale Jones twitted, "why should we have to go to class if we came here to play football, we ain't come to play school, classes are pointless"

Happy New Years To Everyone On the Board

I just wanted to wish everyone on this board a Happy New Years. Even the people that like to bust my chops once in a while. I can take it.....and dish it....so no hard feelings towards anybody going into 2015. I've been around in the background. At some point, they were supposed to make changes to the look and feel of the board (i.e. maybe bring it into the 21st century, lol). Anyway, I hope everybody enjoys the rest of the night and this upcoming weekend. I look forward to having a full off-season to get ready for 2015.

In the meantime , I'll be on the camp circuit for the next few months. Feel free to check out the articles from time to time.

God Bless..
