Easton goes right down the field for a touchdown. Big runs by Ordway and Thomas, then overcome a 15 yard illegal chop block penalty with a tight end screen and big Ordway run on an inverted veer. Then Thomas slashes in for a score. Easton going for 2 after a personal foul on Freedom following the TD

Freedom comes out and marched right down the field for a touchdown. Pass to Jelani Frederick should have been a TD, but slightly overthrown and Frederick couldn’t keep his feet. Still, Patriots punch it in on another Walker QB sneak. 14-6 now.

It should be a lot of fun. I honestly still have to wrap my head around Freedom being as good as they are. To put it bluntly, they sucked forever. Jason Roeder doesn’t get credit as one of the best coaches in the state, but the job he’s done in his tenure at Freedom has totally redefined the program. Going to have to beat a well prepared team tonight.

Will be rooting for Easton to keep rolling. So many similarities between the team;, hopefully it’s as good of a game as it looks on paper.

There is the link to the radio feed of tonight’s game. As a word to the uninitiated, it’s not traditionally “good”, but it’s hilariously homer, DIY, and kind of an institution. Jack Logic has been a feature around Easton sports since the ‘60s and broadcasting Rover games for the better part of 40 years. He’s…a character.
