Wood and WC play in Bethlehem on Thursday the 24th. Pope is wreaking havoc on field availability. Looks like a mid-Sept. pregame at Roosevelts' hey Relayer:)

This place is 68 miles and 1:51 away from West Catholic. It's about 39 miles from Wood. It's silly. I get that the circumstances are unique. I'll contend field availability is more than likely scarce. However, I question if all possibilities in SE PA were exhausted.

I know for a fact Wood tried all local "turf" fields, none had an opening, a few wouldn't cooperate.

Note: It's a clumsy 39 miles at that. Will take them about 1:15 minutes. Plus it's a HOME game for Wood, not a neutral "playoff" scenario.

I'm sure they did try the obvious in Bucks County. How about over the other side? Inter-Acs? Radnor? Marple?

Again, not suggesting it's not a difficult endeavor. I'm just hoping they exhausted EVERY place in SE PA.

I'll ask around. P-W, Souderton, Quakertown, CRN, CBW, CBE, Palisades, H-H, all out. Might be missing a few too. Plus I know Beca has a crush on Wood so I'm sure they helped urge things along.

This would be like district one basketball scheduling their semifinals and finals in a different disrtrcit .....wait , they already do that.

Hey, La Salle is playing their homecoming game at Upper Dublin, a field they've never played on before! Ah, the papal irony!

LaSalle played at Upper Dublin regularly in the late '80s. Was our season opening game for many years.
