This one may be of interest to the D1 crowd with Cumberland Valley visiting Spring Ford tonight at 7. It’s the weakest team I’ve seen at CV….ever….in a difficult transition with a new coach and system in an abbreviated season. Tough situation. But in what looks like a very weak PAC, CV may be the best team the Rams have played this year? McDevitt with Lek Powell and some of the best receivers in the state lit em up for 21 completions on 28 attempts (75%) for 192 yards and 4 Tds. SF isn’t McDevitt but Freed seems competent. What I saw of them they looked undersized, but 6-0 is 6-0 and hats off to that.
** Cumberland Valley (1-4, 6A) of the Mid Penn-Commonwealth visits highly seeded Spring Ford (6-0) of District-1’s PAC-Liberty Division tonight at 7. Coach Oswalt (2004 CV grad) is changing the Eagles from a Wing-T to the Spread. Painful, going with a soph Qb over the returning senior with a sputtering offense averaging 8ppg and a D allowing 26. Big losses to State High 31-0 and McDevitt 45-10 plus Chambersburg 20-10 and Altoona 38-24. Win was CD East 7-6.
