Do not see this happening. Takes away a number of normal opponents. DO Quakertown & Souderton really want to travel to Truman or Bensalem on a Friday night?. New Hope is 1A and playing 4 & 5A schools? This makes no sense. Who thought this up?

Apparently it was already voted on and approved by the Principals and AD's

Love it. 1 hour bus ride is nothing. PCL travels that for half the games or travels the country.

I'm sure it's not perfect but much better than current structure. You could play a rivalry game as a non conference cross over.

Large 6a, small 6a and everything else with the exception of PW who is list as a 6A.

Also looks like there are notes that say this can be adjusted based on your 2020 record for 2021. And week 1 and 2 are for crossover games....

I think this is just for football. The rest of suburban was "adjusted" for all other sports in 18-19 seasons

Things are changing all over with Altoona back in the Mid Penn Commonwealth, Gettysburg, Biglerville and Bermudian Springs recently leaving and the Tri Val becoming the 5th Mid Penn conference (Liberty) next year; Halifax, Line Mountain, Juniata, Newport, Upper Dublin and Susquenita. James Buchanan also in.

Bucks teams will hold their own, and agree NPenn not too good this year.

Why would Springfield (who dropped football a couple years ago) Lower Moreland, & new Hope want to play PW? Souderton & Quakertown would be better off independent, playing the schools they have on their schedules now or some Lehigh Valley schools, much better then going to Truman, bensalem.
Schools were better off forming their own leagues before District One got involved and screwed everything up.. Norristown, Upper Merion were smart to go to the Pioneer Conference, Quakertown & Souderton should head their to.

Without looking at the numbers, it appears they split it up based on enrollment. National is certainly the toughest of the three conferences. However, the term “loaded” is relative. Will the National be competitive? Most likely, although I’d bet NP wins it most years. In reality, the SOL is down across the board. None of these teams are great on the state wide level. I hope it changes moving forward.

Only if NPenn is way off this year. I can’t imagine the rest being this bad the next 9; if so SOL won’t win any District titles. Tell me NPenn was off because of the QB. Maybe, but LaSalle and Skins put lots of points up. SOL looks way off.

NP is off this year but traditionally they get stronger as year goes on, thought they were down last year and end up in district final...have several sophomore running backs , always have talent coming up and a transfer here and there...so if NP down it wont be for long..current qb is good so last weeks 13 points an anomaly.. defense has work to do...d coordinator udinski( old cb west guy) a film junkie. They will right the ship until they hit the gv, coatesville and downingtown teams. Honestly can't remember when they didn't win outright division title or share of it like year with pennsbury that had big rb tandem that was supposed to supplant NP but came into Crawford and lost.

What 6A+ d coordinator isn’t a film junkie....? C’mon... Last 2 seasons not including this season thus far NPs defense hasn’t been good. They out score teams and run the ball nothing new.

I like the new alignment. Teams like UD are forced to compete instead of scheduling cupcakes, byes, and shortened seasons.

Tennent, Truman, and Bensalem don’t belong in the National with no room to grow. In terms of traveling more than a hour away are you kidding me? Football is becoming so soft and thats the joke!

Cover - Good to see you back. The league is as weak as I have seen it. Beck won the conference every year but one when he went with a sr qb over jr qb(2012)who was better and ran two qbs all year. CB south beat them in a shoot out that year after NP was up big at half. Beck went with Sr qb as sole starter and they had to win at Pennridge and sr qb threw 3 picks, was a deer in headlights, lost it and that was the season. they went 6-4. Moving on, Udinski is a youth coach not qualified as a high school d-coordinator, come on. They prob will win it again but like CB West to give them a game , Fallon will run all over them.

Udinski is not the d-coordinator, both sides of ball called by Beck, he just has two coaches do signals for O and D

Thanks soup! Great points, figured since they gave udinski a job when son came over they would allow him to do more. Beck is a control freak, as season progresses he's out on field with both O and D, guess i was mistaken...guess we'll see how it plays out.

Dksopafan is right. Beck most likely runs both. Probably why Harkins retired a few years ago, tired of being a puppet. I said this before; NP was best when Jones ran the O and Carey ran the D... STATE CHAMPS. ( I know they were loaded) Always good to trust and delegate with the entire staff. They will roll but want to see the CB West game, might match up well against NP.

I don't get your comments about Upper Dublin. They've won two districts titles in the past four years. If they were in the realigned Continental this season, UD would run the table except for maybe Souderton.

upper dublin has played a team with a win up until this week. (0-12) with a bye.

That's some good stuff elite! Ironically, I was the biggest critic of UD until they reached the D1 semis 5 years ago and then squashed NP the year after. Yeah, up until then they would get a playoff berth in the weak American and then get smoked in the first round.

I hope those schools can turn it around in the Continental, but there is little consistency in that aligned conference. My Rock teams are an embarrassment, North for the past 4 seasons.

Just to have a little fun, Truman and Upper Dublin played 11 straight years between 2006-2016 and UD was 10-1 against them, many games being blowouts.

Truman has only made the playoffs twice period right? Reel me out just to cut the string relayer! Same can be said about tennent. havent made a playoff birth since 2004 and i dont think ever before that. However, tennent in 2004 made the playoffs when it was only 8 teams not 16! when grass was ultimately the playing surface for most! Besides who you ask? TRUMAN!

and wissahickon lol
