Agree, Stalker and Newport. State College has five losses and gets ranked #5; LaSalle plays a much, much tougher schedule (easy wins against McDevitt and Wood and hard-fought wins against Malvern, Tep, and SJP), has two loses, and gets HM.

tulla, you know what I try to do with Dist-3 and don't want to sound self-serving when I say these guys are more politically motivated, meaning they want to satisfy a viewership rather than post something legitimate.
Knowing how much time I put into videos, stats, the write ups etc makes it offensive especially with many thinking PL is the final word. I don't see evidence of that.
Bottom line, it takes a hell of a lot of work to come up with a ranking that MIGHT be........close. Who knows? At least offer something that makes sense based on outcomes, logic and research.

Stalker, I appreciate what you do. Do you think the PL guys think their rankings are credible?

I imagine they do tulla. They're good guys, but I know from what I know and they write, they don't have a sense of the overall if that makes any sense. You didn't have to spend summers in Pitt in the Oakland section or with relatives in Fox Chapel (the rich side of the fam!) going to Shady Side to know WPIAL football but it helps having spent time, knowing people, military buddies in Coraopolis, McKeesport and so on. Same with Harrisburg area teams being born-raised in Gburg, living in Harrisburg going to college there topped off with a move to Delco learning SE PA FB, writing for NeshaminyFB, HavenFB and DelcoCtySports websites doing rankings starting in 2008 with Delco, then Skins site and towards the end HavenFB.
I'm saying you need depth to your knowledge for perspective to attempt a legit state or local ranking. Just fooling around on the board is another thing. Otherwise, you need to know that Penn Manor-Hempfield are bitter foes, ditto North Allegheny-North Hills (when they played regularly) and Steel High-Middletown etc so you don't overact to a score. Everyone knows Easton-Phillipsburg, LS-SJP and others are rivals.
