Fast thoughts....
6A: Looks like a power outage out west with the good teams in lower classifications or in the East.
5A: Top 4 looks awesome!
4A: Jersey #1 beat who ???? unless you count the Heckle-Jeckle team from Allentown CC.
3A: Neumann Goretti needs to be higher, above Central-Martinsburg maybe more?
2A: York Catholic at 10 after getting trounced by West Catholic? Come on fellas, at least look at the box scores.
1A: Too bad Canton and Old Forge face off next as they are probably the best two in the classification.

Very strange that LaSalle doesn't even make it into the top ten in 6A despite being the only team that beat the #2 5A team (Imhotep) and the #3 4A team (McDevitt) and the only PA team that beat SJP. Does anyone really think they should be ranked lower than Central York and Quakertown, for instance?

Nope! LS should be at least #6. Glad you caught and voiced as I missed it finishing up weekly plus extra work on WC/Neumann. But for sure, at least the team I saw vs McDevitt is a top 5 team. I won't piss and moan like I usually do but YC at 10 over West Cath (mention) is just poor ranking. This wasn't an upset.
Anyway tulla, how come no one unless that was you I saw mention it isn't giving Freedom ANY respect. The team I saw on vid looked good. SJP historically crushes them but this isn't a typical year for Hawks unless Freedom is just flashy and not as good as their record.

Stalker,

I don't think SJP has played Freedom since a a RS game in '08 or '09.It was Parkland they played most of the years since 2013. The '13 game was fairly close and the '14 game was very close, with many people thinking a blown call by the refs--not calling a motion penalty against Swift on a 4th and 2 play--made a big difference. Of course even if the call had been made, the Prep may have converted on the 4th and 7, but it would have been harder.

Parkland beat LaSalle in '15, aided by a bad PI call. The Prep-D11 games between '16 and '19 were blowouts.

Looking only at the Prep season and recognizing how young they still are, I wouldn't make them prohibitive favorites. They've been inconsistent not only from game to game but sometimes within games, e.g. the first LaSalle game and the second Wood game. So sure, they could beat Freedom by several TDs or it could be either team's game in the 4th quarter.

By "them" I meant EPC teams in general not Freedom, but I appreciate your rundown. Your description of SJP sounds typical of a young group who I imagine will feel somewhat at home at O'Hara (nice stadium/seating) with a supportive D-12, D-1 audience.
I'm hoping for a competitive game as I am with Cville-GVal, thinking Lebo-McDowell could go south, meaning towards Mount Lebanon and same with Harrisburg-State, tho that's a rivalry rematch game.

I think SJP is going to win comfortably - unless Braelin Moore is way better than I think he is and the pressure he can get disrupts the whole SJP offense. And I don’t think Freedom will move the ball - too average at the quarterback position.

SJP played Freedom in 2018 in this round and beat them 42-14. I think that Freedom team might have been a little better - I’d take their quarterback, running back, and in the front seven in defense with Wheeler and Stewart, this Freedom team is way better at receiver, and probably slightly better on the offensive line. Obviously SJP also isn’t as good, but I don’t think it’ll be close
