Yep- good and bad for him-- great season this year, with no injury, he could have been drafted. Fingers crossed, for good year next yr for BC. And- crazy, again, barring injury, and some good years, PR could have 3 kids drafted or FA in NFL, in Spring 23, Jurkovec, Kristofic and Katic.Jurkovec will return for 2022 to BC who had a good day yesterday with the 26th FBS class. Quite a year for them.
Is Notre Dame in the playoffs if he doesn't transfer?
I heard the same thing about Kelly. He looks like an office wuss we'd harass at a union meeting; fun times in the Teamsters.Without a doubt IMO.
Everything I’ve heard about Kelly and Long and Reese is BAD. As coaches and humans. Glad Jurkovec left.
Recall Phil got hurt his Junior year in HS
Came back and had one of the greatest years as a QB in the history of the state. Look for history to repeat.
Calling it now.
Heisman 2022.
Rover do you plan on finishing your state champion breakdowns. I always looked forward to reading them and always check for them?I've never heard anything good about Brian Kelly, going back to when he was at Grand Valley.
The flip side for Jurkovec is, I have a good friend who played at BC and is a pretty involved alum now. He LOVES Jeff Hafley. Personable, really smart, obviously has already had good results. He’s a rising star. We have another friend who played for Hafley at Pitt when he was the d-backs coach and really liked him. Probably caught a shooting star for a couple years.
Yes, it’s a long term goal to finish them. I started the SJP ‘13 one, but it’s been sitting for a while. Adding another kid has cut into writing time, but the long term goal is to loop through all of the 4A/6A ones and then make a decision whether I want to tackle 3A/5A/4A (post 2016) or loop back through some of the historical ones I have from 1950-1987 (I’ve actually done 1958 Easton for a program thing, that’s ready to go and publish, but it wouldn’t be within a chronological context.Rover do you plan on finishing your state champion breakdowns. Got ya, I'll definitely be downloading it if you do. My vote is to do the 3A/5A/4A. Take your time and I'm looking fwd to reading the rest of them.Yes, it’s a long term goal to finish them. The long range goal is to put all of them together as a PDF that can be available for download for people to have.
Rover - Say what you want about Kelly but he’s the winningest coach at Notre Dame (over Rockne, Leahy, Parseghian, Holtz). 2 trips to college playoffs (Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma can say the same). The hardest academic standards of any of these schools mentioned and probably other then 1 or 2 schools in top 25 may have it harder. Notre Dame win with a very difficult schedule. It’s not like he’s going to step down and go to a Penn State or any of the other Big Ten school. Yeah.. he seems like he’s a little overboard on being a passionate coach but good luck to him at LSU. That schedule will be harder then NDs. As far as Jurkovec it would nice to see him play a harder schedule. Look at BCs non league and many of the ACC games. Going to be much harder at a bigger school and pros. Best of luck to him.I've never heard anything good about Brian Kelly, going back to when he was at Grand Valley.

Oh, he's a hell of a football coach - one of the five or ten best working in college football. But I know people who worked with him at Grand Valley State and Central Michigan, and guys who have played for him at Notre Dame, and he's...not popular.Rover - Say what you want about Kelly but he’s the winningest coach at Notre Dame (over Rockne, Leahy, Parseghian, Holtz). 2 trips to college playoffs (Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma can say the same). Agreed that all will not like him w that style. Gotta admit that he’s been very successful at his last 3 or 4 jobs. My gut tells me he will be challenging Alabama, Georgia and I think A&M in a short time for tops in the best college football league. It’s too bad Lincoln Riley didn’t stay w Oklahoma because SEC may have had 4 of 6 of the best college coaches.Oh, he's a hell of a football coach - one of the five or ten best working in college football. Ches, if Lincoln Riley does what he will likely do he'll own LA and a lot of the state/west being a charismatic guy who has the X's and O's down pat.Agreed that all will not like him w that style. Riley has done an excellent job at Oklahoma. If he can bring that magic to USC.. yeah.. he will have the dominant program of the West coast. He’s got the most fertile recruiting grounds in his new home of California.Ches, if Lincoln Riley does what he will likely do he'll own LA and a lot of the state/west being a charismatic guy who has the X's and O's down pat.
Stating the obvious here but he won't have to face Tex A&M, Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, MState, etc had he taken the LSU job. I imagine he'll dominate the PAC shortly and be on cruise control regardless the # of teams in the CFP
