"Resigned" this week. Guess he composed his resignation letter at a Eagles tailgate. Came into the job claiming that coaching at Tennent was no different than coaching at Bristol. Guess that wasn't the case based on two straight 0-10 seasons.

Program was in complete disarray when he took over. Years of losing, low numbers, negative culture. Playing in division loaded with established programs and coaches also not easy as you try to rebuild. Not to mention living in the shadows of a nationally ranked team that uses your stadium. Brutal job.

Agreed, that's one of the toughest jobs in District 1. The last time I can remember them being truly competitive was when Pettine Jr had a short stint there. Wood obviously wasn't as good back then so you weren't losing as many kids to them. If I remember correctly, Pettine Jr was only there for a year before leaving for NP.

Not true. They made the D1 playoffs in 2006. They were a good program for a run under Biz Keeny.

Just looked at their website it lists 5 coaches. One says he was a soccer assistant at Judge for 15 years and coaches kickers? I'd imagine it has to be hard to win with only four guys on staff. Tough ask from Plenski to turn around a program without any help.

I think if Tennent really wants to turn this program around they have to go after an established assistant from a big time program. Someone with experience that can put together a staff.

There are tons of assistants in the SOL with head coaching experience.

How is that an impossible job? How is it any different then a Truman, or Bensalem?
(Just because Wood is next door?)

Tennent was in their fair share of games over the past two seasons. Including a few games vs playoff teams.

Biz Keeny had a strong coaching background and a quality staff. Was always competitive. Going to take someone with that kind of experience and pedigree to turn things around.

Tennent was very good back in 2004. Only 8 teams qualified for the playoffs, and as the 8th seed they went to top seeded Coatesville and gave the Red Raiders all they could handle, losing 24-20.

Total disarray? Rosenberger had won 5 may be 6 games. Thought the program was turning the corner. Talk to parents who been around Tennent Football. They said the previous staff worked hard during the season & in the off-season. Not the case during the Plenski tenure.

What did Plenski do any different than Rosenberger except inherit a program in worse shape and play a way harder schedule? Sounds like you have an axe to grind with the guy? Your kid sit the bench or what?
