Come on now defend him he is a tea bagged too and how would you do that privatize all schools because most send their kids there because they do not want little Johnny or Susie next to Tyrone or Jose so if you privatized all schools that would go out the window

OK Paul you are right not all Conservatives are douche bags but my question is why are many (not all) republicans so big into social issues and making policy dealing with such? I mean is it not the mantra of the Republican party to lessen government involvement? Or does that just pertain to involvement in finances.
 
Interjecting themselves into social issues is what the Dems do all the time. Their base is made up of all the "social issue" segments. Gays, race, women (how women are treated compared to men). Their nickname is the feel good party.

Yep I sent my kids to private school so they didn't have to sit next to Juanita or Tyrone. NO! I sent them to private school so I wouldn't have an IDIOT like YOU teaching them.....
 
Look at my schools report card and then judge I help kids graduate and move on. And I would not want to teach your brat kids anyway or deal with a jagoff parent like you
 
Trust me I paid, volunteered and kept my mouth shut and for that I got 2 Ivy League kids who if you met them you would not think they were brats. But you probably are correct in that the Dems and more specifically the President don't like people like me....I consider that a badge of honor!

Now you know nothing about my students, school, teaching methods test scores graduation rate or what me and my lowly public school colleges deal with but tht is OK us inferior employees seem to be doing alright with less and less. I taught my children that work ethic was most important and led by example. They think it is normal to go to work when you are not feeling well. I let them know that you are smart enough and work hard enough that you will make a great income and that their ENEMY is government, and what they would be allowed to keep after their successes was the problem. Of course the Dems/you think I'm a jackass/jagoff/douche bag, but I think taxes are absurd and I am not the problem. The problem locally is school/municipal pensions, ridiculous medical benefits and being able to retire in their early 50s with 75% of their salary. So when I say privatize, I suggest the benefits be more realistic, the pension become a 401 K and tenure be eliminated to start.

Quick question Sam: The Phila. school district spends 2.6 BILLION $ per year and are still broke! They have casino gambling revenue, 2% additional sales tax, 10% by the drink tax and 2.00 per pack cigarette tax all to fund PENSIONS not schools! Yet they are still broke.

If we eliminated the Phila. schools and replaced them with all Catholic/private schools would the city be better or worse???
Would the quality of education be better and cheaper??? Would everyone be able to attend the school of THEIR choice???
Would the minority population see IMMEDIATE results???

Of course I'm a douche....
 
I just don't teach my children work ethic I teach about 150 kids a day about work ethic and that the best way out is through education so saying that I am anti hard work is well about the dumbest comment ever. So I have zero idea about Philly schools just like you have zero idea about my school and my teaching ability but I will entertain you question about taking Philly and making the entire thing private school set up. So here are a few questions

1. If every school is Private does that change the kids who are going to those schools? Same kids same parents same neighborhoods same problems if all are private what changes? The biggest problem with schools are not teachers and the millions they make but the lack of parent involvement,

2. How do you pay for it? I think Philly has what 500K school aged kids how and who pays for that? How do you pay for materials, teachers, buildings, administration, where does that come from? Ok you take away the evil pension the end all be all problem with Philly public schools how do you pay? And good luck finding teachers then because you will have to pay more to get teachers. That is who NC has over 5000 jobs unfilled right now in education because they do not pay.

So there are a couple of big problems there and you might want to look at the southern states as far as education goes, they have been cheap, have cut education and are behind states like PA, OH, DEL, CONN, MASS, MI, ect. Does Philly have problems hell yea but I see a ton of public schools in PA that are just as good as private schools like I said Mt. Lebonan, Upper St. Clair, Bethel Park, Cumberland Valley, North Allegheny, Erie McDowell, State College, Pine Richland, Strath Haven, all seem to be putting a ton of kids into great schools. And taxes well just look at places like Kansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia ect where Reps have cut taxes and are now faced with a budget shortfall, they can not pay bills great job Grover Norqvist

This is what the liberals usually do, pick out some highly-rated school districts and hold them up as an example. Look at the entire body of work across the state and more importantly, teach things that matter in real life.

Again, investing and entrepreneurism show up nowhere and if they are taught, it obviously isn't being taught well. What is disguised as political science (teachers ranting about how bad they have it and how bad the right is) is also taught very poorly, without even a mention, in the great majority of cases, why the other side (GOP), has the views that they have.

Kids aren't given the opportunity to think for themselves; usually, the teacher tells them why "it" is so.

If you are teaching work ethic, Sammy, that is a good thing. One of the best lessons in life. It is a shame that the clumsy president of this country does not do the same.
 
Ok west Mifflin, Ringold, Laurel Highlands, Central Dauphin, Waynesburg, Everett, Latrobe, ect ect ect. Fact is the majority of public schools do rather well. And kids are not allowed to think for themselves hmmm did you know that is what common core is trying to do did you know that it is trying to change how we teach, it is nothing new to me I always try and introduce how what I am teaching is used post high school just like the vast majority of my colleagues . And that is in the behind the times south. I went to Carmichaels Area yea I am sure you never heard of it many have not but my teachers I that little rinky dink small coal mining town along the Mon River did a great job. My small school has had Harvard, West Point, Duquesne, Penn State, Pitt, coast guard academy Layfayette grads and that was just some kids in my class and below

Anything taught by liberals is not worth my time. Too many teachers are just interested in advancing the liberal cause and too many don't know enough about the real world.

I don't care about brand names like common core. I am sure it will include little or nothing about investing, starting a business, American exceptionalism (you have no idea what it is and you are a teacher), etc.

Your school may have done a good job, but not in English/Grammar! Use some commas; your posts have no flow to them because of all of the grammar issues. It takes twice as long to read most of your posts.

Does common core include grammar? Common core sounds to me like a marketing campaign similar to that of the Affordable Care Act!
