So here is the data.... Montco had 37% of the County is catholic. The Archdiocese was correct. up 14 % from 2000 to 2010 in those in the faith. However, enrollment at PJPII has decreased since inception in 2010, Currently 260 male grades 9-11( dropped to 3A in football), so would assume about 350 males 9-12. About 3.6% of the population of the faith send to PJPII in the County. However, there are other options like Devon Prep, LaSalle, LC, A Wood and Shanahan (especially in OJR area) depending on location you live within the PAC-12. So they have to compete with the other Archdiocese schools. Location for PJPII is ideal, but the numbers don't add up. The School was built to accommodate 1200 kids. Current enrollment is 603 per piaa website in 9-11 grades. Would assume 800 total, so 66% full.
Here are the 9-11 Grade numbers for the Public School's in PAC -12:
Boyertown 1728/ 869 males
Methacton 1177/ 607 males
Norristown 1595/792 males
OJ Roberts 1300/ 647 males
Perk Valley 1586/ 832 males

Upper merion 957/ 492 males
Upper Perk 804/ 427 males

It is what it is.. PJPII is a great school, no question. The numbers are the numbers.
