McDevitt's game at Hershey this weekend was cancelled with a Hershey player testing positive. Same with Harrisburg/York mentioned earlier, cancelled per 1 player testing positive. Seems strange with Trevor Lawrence positive and out it's OK for Clemson to continue playing. I feel many are over reacting given young people feel sick for a few days....if that....yet "recover". The most dangerous thing they'll do is getting on the bus and rolling the dice on the highways getting to the games....not covid.

The schools are in unchartered waters. What must concern them is not whether one or two players get COVID, but whether something like what's happened at Wisconsin and earlier at Notre Dame happens--first one or two players and then 10 or 15 a few days later. Plus, high school players aren't as easily isolated from other students in the way college players are.

I agree that the great majority of hs players who get COVID will not develop serious cases, but the schools / boards must be very worried about the consequences if things don't go as hoped / planned.

I give the schools, districts, PIAA, etc. a ton of credit. By and large, things have gone pretty smooth considering the times we are in. I never thought a season was possible a few months ago. I’m enjoying the few games we are getting. Here’s to everyone staying healthy and finishing strong!
