Emmaus scored a TD on a 56 yard jet sweep to Deonte Castro.

Easton had a 1st and goal at the 9 after a 45 yard pass to Mikey Dunlap, but had to settle for a field goal. 7-3 and looks like a track meet.

Emmaus converts on a 3rd and 26 to get inside the 10, but only comes away with a field goal. Hornets up 10-3

Sone Ntoh breaks free, but caught from behind at the 11 and stripped, Easton recovers. Would have been an early knock out punch.

Easton drives 80 yards, but stalls out at the Emmaus 9 and settled for s field goal. 10-6 Emmaus.

Easton drives inside the Emmaus 10 for the third time tonight, but a holding penalty kills them, and they have to settle for a 3rd field goal. 10-9 Emmaus.

Green Hornets return another kick past the 50.

Emmaus scores a TD on a 4th and 27. Jump ball in the end zone and Izaiah McPherson goes up over Mike Dunlap for a TD.

Inexcusable - Jesus Christ

Easton drives the ball 74 yards, capped by a 12 yard TD pass to sophomore Nahjee Adams, then ties it up with a two point conversion to Mike Dunlap. 17-17 at the break. Great football game.

Easton doing a nice job against the Emmaus running backs - outside of the Castro TD, the only real rushing yards are Parvel keepers. He’s only completed 3 passes, but two are backbreakers on 4th downs.

Rovers only have 35 rushing yards, but Nimeh has thrown for 180 yards in the first half. Dunlap has over 100 yards receiving at halftime.

Another Easton trip inside the 10 to open the half. Dropped a TD on 2nd down, then threw a pick in the end zone. They’ve had a million chances. Not taking advantage.

Emmaus answers with an 80 yard TD drive, back on top 24-17. Rovers completely gashed by the running game.

Phone died.

Emmaus beats Easton to advance to their first ever D11 final. Easton scored with about 6 minutes left to tie the game on a 14 yard Nimeh scramble. But the Green Hornets marched right down the field with Lubens Myers punching the ball in from four yards out. Easton was able to drive to the Emmaus 40, but a big sack put Easton too far behind the chains.

At the end of the day, you can’t get inside the 10 four times and go FG, FG, FG, interception. And if you can’t stop the run, you can’t beat good high school football teams. Emmaus has really talented skill guys and are really well coached. They’ll be a tough out.

Emmaus has really stepped up since the coaching change!

Always is nice to hire a head coach with a state championship on his resume. Those of you who remember Fairclough’s Allentown Central Catholic teams will recognize the offensive scheme.

Plus Sam and Matt Seneca as the coordinators is a huge schematic advantage. Sam has been one of the best coaches in the Valley for 40 years, and Matt played QB at Penn State, coordinated Liberty’s offenses under Moncman, and is one of the sharpest offensive minds in the eastern part of the state.
