Saw a piece on a North Jersey site under a headline that BC "defeated" SJP 28-14: http://www.northjersey.com/photo-ga...t-joseph-of-pa-28-14-in-a-scrimmage-1.1648246I was not there but it's my understanding that Roman struggled, especially moving the ball on O. Granted, it's a scrimmage so time will tell.
I was also told that SJP played starters for one half against Bergen Catholic and it was 14-7 at the half Prep. Second half was different story with substitutions and Bergen lead 28-14 at the end.
Did anyone see the Wood/ Pennsbury scrimmage, and if so could you provide some information. Wood has a monster game this week in Ohio.Curious to hear how Roman Catholic did Saturday vs St Augustine Prep who's #1 in South Jersey.
They open vs Neshaminy friday night, Spread on that?
Starters played a quarter not much from them qb needs workDid anyone see the Wood/ Pennsbury scrimmage, and if so could you provide some information. Wood has a monster game this week in Ohio.
Roman game was a lot closer than 29-7...... Roman struck first with 75yrd td to #10 a transfer slot wr. #1 is still his favorite target. The strength is the passing game this yr the qb spread it out a lot. Looks like they try to get you lbs to matchup on their slots. #9 and #10 did work in the slots. Both Rbs that carried the load are transfers.
Defense struggled in tackling. Looks like they were running a 3-4. Dbacks played solid but upfront struggled in shedding blocks and LBs didn't look well either. I was told that their unit looks different once starter Colloso(MLB) returns for the opener. Overall still not a huge jump. It'll be good games against the Ryans and Carrolls of the PCL.
I think we're on the same page. I had those games as wins also.I think Roman does better then last year, an will get better every year from here on out, I think they go 4-7 this year which is an improvement from last year. Wins vs CHA, Carroll, Ryan, Roxborough but what do it know
