Last year Aliquippa brought in somewhere between 8 and 11 transfers as they "prepped" for the move to 5A, which never came. I guess it wasn't the greatest place because 3 of their best players have now transferred:

Larry Moon 37 D1 offers -----> IMG (FL)
Sa'Nir Brooks 6 D1 offers -----> St. Francis (MD)
Jamar Allen 2 D1 offers -----> St. Francis (MD)

Live by the transfer, die by the transfer...

These are now these players 4th/5th schools since middle school. Add in Jance Henry from Central Valley now at Archbishop Hoban in Akron, who was at Aliquippa at one point as well. I’ve heard the Taylor kid from canevin is probably gone as well. Talented players but they don’t seem like they have the right guidance. Not sure any of them are IMG or SFA starter material. Interesting to see this in recent weeks after what happened last offseason. Quite the 365.

wow yea the stuff w the Quip now is really weird, so many kids moving in and out. I'd like to "root for" our local kids- but yipes, these kids seem to have zero loyalty.

Several of these kids had reached out to Pine richland, to transfer here- my guess is the staff told them they are not gonna "walk in and be a #1" with no competition.

Here is another big factor- the schools listed in this thread have "b-teams" that some of these kids might play on. I have only watched Moon and Henry- they are very good but IMO neither of them would be studs on a top ten HS team like IMG or SFA

I think Moon is a bit overrated currently but make no mistake, if he wanted to come PR, he would be welcomed with open arms and be #1 on the depth chart. Aren't the Webb brothers from Seneca Valley via the Hill District?

eh- Moon he might be a 1 now, but not easily as of last summer- this year, the 24 season, our DBs included 3 All-state kids

Webb kids- not sure

To both you and BradlyPitt, is this true? P-R has been caught before trying to recruit in the past and many players have shown up out of nowhere in years past, of which was somewhat part of Kasper and staff getting canned, but I find it interesting that LeDonne always touts the "Born and Raised in The Gib" mantra when it seems like it has been the opposite if what you're suggesting is true.

Henry was at P-R for a summer before transferring to Central Valley. Why are these kids reaching out to P-R's coaches? Wouldn't that be a violation of some sort under PIAA rules if P-R was receptive somewhat or entertaining the idea that they could transfer in while the players were enrolled at another school?

most if not all the perennial powerhouses are dirty

Ledonne saying that is funny, his quarterback is from Penn Hills

anybody know if Timmons was born there? the rich schools in the north hills get all of those kids related to Steelers, no way they beat Peters last year without those two

Brad-
You know, these are actually real people that you are bad-mouthing? Nobody is perfect and neither are you. It's ridiculous question to ask where Thimmons was born- but i can tell you he has lived here a long time, played youth football here, atarting around age 6. And beating Peters? Thats a stupid statement- we knocked the crap out of them.

Bummer- most of the comments about the "Gib" means that these boys live here NOW.

I can tell you, personally- about these kids coming to PR? Yes, it's more the last 3 years. But, it's not LeDonne "going to get them." He's willing to give them a chance to compete. The parents are choosing to send their kids here. Not cheating, not recruiting. In the last 5 years- more kids have been "coming and going." We have we have probably lost as many as we have gained.

And the Webb kids- they have bounced between homes- and a few years ago, actually were legitimately homeless, living in homeless shelters. So we are "cheating" by allowing them to move here?

what did I say that was out of line? Strader is from Penn Hills right?

I recall him beating Peters with some long passes, one of them being a touchdown to Timmons, and he only lives there because his dad played for the Steelers, all the pros live in the north hills area

I think without those two they would've struggled offensively the same way they did in 2023 against Peters and not having a passing game, and Peters would've won a low scoring game

yeah you probably do lose kids, kids that realize they won't get playing time

how can homeless kids suddenly afford to live in rich Pine Richland? living in homeless shelters to now living in an area that has more money than God????

I think your post vindicated me

Brad- You make frequent comments about kids, coaches and programs being "cheaters." I understand and agree w some of your posts, but not cool when it targets specific people. Jon LeDonne pours his heart and soul into the program. And you are criticizing Timmons- cmon- "he only lives here because his dad was a Steeler?" Kids and families move for jobs, it happens. He is a good kid that has worked very hard. Not cool to badmouth either of those two people.

Strader- he moved here in 8th grade. How is that cheating? His family moved here, for better schools and better programs, than Penn Hills.

And the Peters game- the two main reasons we won, 1- our o-line had the edge more than last year and 2- our defense dominated them most game. Strader has little to do w any of that.

Kids "moving around" has become a trend at a lot of schools- being influenced by trainers, recruiters, and parents- being picky about playing time, coaching, recruiting and what positions they are gonna play.

As far as the homeless topic- most likely a family member got a rental here- not every house is 800 grand- we do have some normal houses, and some cheap rentals. Also, public schools are required to "keep kids" once they are established w a temporary residence and have a history of being homeless.

Not sure how chat posts can "vindicate" anybody, not sure what that means- but glad you feel better...
