If I could re-seed, it might look like this....but just messing around.

The East
1 St. Joseph’s Prep 10-0
; D’Andre Swift! Looks like a straight shot to the District-1 champ with District-11 “down”, exciting but down.
2 North Penn 11-0; Home field and senior QB Udinski throwing to a pile of receivers generating a HUGE offense at 41ppg. Home sweet home!
3 Coatesville 10-1; Downingtown East and Ridley wins suggests the youth matured. Enough for a road trip to North Penn? NP can match them with skill. Speed? A lean to the Knights at home and as a higher seed.
4 Perkiomen Valley 11-0; Strong quarterbacking and underrated skill people
5 Garnet Valley 9-2; Always underrated yet one of winningest programs in the area. Option fooling teams, 3rd straight playoff road game after winning at CB South and Neshaminy. Impressive.
6 Parkland 9-3; Parkland vs Freedom looks like a 8/9 seed war! A few hiccups but usually a serious defense.
7 Freedom 8-4; Came into season as EPC-South fav/most talented and may still get there.
8 Northeast 8-2; Had their Super Bowl last week beating previously undefeated Central in Pub final

The West
1 Central Catholic 11-1;
Overrated? Played two good teams, getting crushed by St. John’s College (DC) 35-14 (doesn’t reflect how dominated they were), beat defenseless Pine Richland 48-35? Awesome offensive line all going somewhere; PSU, ND, Fordham and Yale.
2 Central Dauphin 10-1; Loaded, D flies around, good team speed but throw #2, #3 and #4….maybe #5 in a bag and pull a name. Whoever comes out of the district, especially if it’s a Mid Penn Commonwealth team, will give Central Catholic more of a game than the soft teams they’ve played to date.
3 State College 10-1; Lost to Central Dauphin 13-10, beat Cumberland Valley 20-16, nice balance, huge roster, physical.
4 Cumberland Valley 8-3; Beat CD 25-24 earlier and have em again at CD Friday. Difficult scheme like Garnet Valley where you have to stay super disciplined; most don’t.
5 Wilson 10-1; Skill everywhere, great coaching, decent Q-backing, playoff veteran program. Get CD East at home. Lost to CD 24-6 early. Lightweight this year but quick.
6 Central Dauphin East 7-4; Ballsy bunch, won at Wilson last year in ot, 2nd round. Like Wilson, not as strong as last year but don’t look past them!
7 Seneca Valley 8-3; A scoring machine (35 avg) with a defense as bad as Pine Richland’s at 27ppg. WPIAL 6A-1 down this year except for Central Catholic.
8 Williamsport 11-1; Crazy offense at 50ppg leaving their defense panting!

I had to chuckle a little at this. While true, this indicates WPIAL 6A-2 is WAY WAY down. Their playoff teams were collectively 0-12 vs 6A-1 this year.

Stalker have you seen a PCC in person ? Just wondering ! If so, I doubt that you would imply that they are overrated.

9-3 North Allegheny is better than Central Dauphin East and Cumberland Valley. Just saying ! They lost 2 games by 1 point to Undefeated Tangy Liberty from Ohio and to SV on a blocked extra point.

--You're not going to pose the "have you seen them" argument are you? Ok but seeing doesn't mean your or my opinion is "the" opinion. It's just an opinion. But no, I haven't seen them in person.

--Agreed, NA is better than CD East and maybe CV.

My opinion on PCC is the entire state is down at the 6A classification with few exceptions but still down. So, PCC's stats, scores etc and many other team's are inflated. No diss intended, just opinion. Having said that, their great OL will probably carry them to the state final and perhaps gold medal.

--D-11 is definitely down, way down and I think last week's scores in D1 said the same excepting North Penn and Coatesville, Perk Val. Same for D-12 excepting SJP. LaSalle is no where near last year's bunch.

Home turf D3 has a bunch of rebuilding teams, particularly CV, CD East, Wilson, Manheim Twp, Exeter, Dallastown. That doesn't mean they aren't good teams but the district (s) as a whole aren't as strong as last year in my view.

**** PCC64, how could I diss them, I use to live at 419 N. Neville St in Oakland with my dad back in the day!

I'm sure I passed your Neville St home many many times. You seem to know what you write about so I'll defer to your opinion on how good or bad the state is. As far as Central's stats go, the majority are racked up in the first half. They could be really be inflated if they kept their foot on the gas in the second half.

PCC64 -

Stalker might just qualify as "The Godfather" on this August Board. Doesn't have any particular dog in any particular fight (he does like D3, though) so his views are evenhanded, backed up and almost always on the mark.

(He can defend himself, in any event.)

PCC, you don't have to defend the Vikings and what they have this year.We all get that for sure. It seems you are very sensitive about anything that appears the slightest negative about PCC. Stalker is one of the best Pa.high school analyst around . Hope you make it to the finals and a repeat vs. the Prep. That will be a great matchup.

No doubt, Stalker knows his stuff ! I am sure he can defend himself if required. I don't think I offended him as evidenced in his response to my post. My so called sensitivity was in defense of good teams like NA, Seneca Valley and Pine Richland who like PCC are located in The Northern Conference of 6A District 7 (The WPIAL). I took the possible overrated comment as a knock against those teams in particular.

Thanks guys for the words but I think you know I'm just trying to get some views and opinions out there with no disrespect ever intended.

PCC64....About Oakland-Neville St, Dad took me to this huge place as a kid with a ivy covered wall I later learned was Forbes Field. Great smells!.. posts in the way but a neat place as a kid. This guy came up to the plate in warmups and all the kids except me ran to left field just over the wall (Schenley Park) with the player knocking every pitch out of the park over the left field wall. Didn't even break his wrists as I recall. That was Hank Aaron and that really zapped me.
Anyway, keep jumping in here. We need some west views other than mine particularly since you guys are a lot closer to it now than I am.

Great word picture of Forbes Field and Schenley Park, what a beautiful thing. As you know Central is about 2 blocks away so as a Central student this is your territory including the CMU and Pitt campuses. We used to practice up at the Schenley Oval in the middle of Schenley Park, back in my day.
