The only one in my area that sticks out this week is Belle Vernon taking on defending 5A state champs in Penn Trafford. Both teams have one loss to McKeesport by a touchdown so should be a good game.

Im going to the CB West/ Pennsbury game with help to get there LOL. I thought about the Wood /Northeast game , but doubt Wood can score .

Not too many good games this weekend but one that caught my eye was Harrisburg vs. Carlisle. Could be a great opportunity for Carlisle to make a statement and get over the hump to being a yearly threat in the Mid-Penn Commonwealth. Seems they always have a few athletes but are consistently stuck in between 5-7 wins.

For Harrisburg, it's a must-win almost as they get into the thick of their league schedule. No gimmies in that league for sure.

Biggest game in district 10 is 3-0 sharpsville vs 3-0 slippery rock. Sharpsville blew out Wilmington early in the season and if they get by slippery rock tonight it'll set up a giant matchup against the #1 team in the state Farrell.

Haus- agreed- that BV-Port is the most interesting WPIAL game IMO, and I'm sorry- I think said on another thread- BV should not be crowned State champ, if they do not win this game, they might not even win WPIAL- shaky coaching

the following I am also curious in WPIAL-D7-
Peters v Upper St Clair
-both 3-0, both have had some recent playoff experience, likely the winner shoots up, to maybe best 2 or 3 in WPIAL 5A, other than Gateway, no one really stands out, this could be a "statement game" for on of these school, maybe even top 10 in the state, maybe even top 5 in state

Hempfield Area v Shaler
-with Hempfield now in 5A, this would be their first statement game, against a bigger school, and at least "on paper" Shaler is not great, but is their best opponent of their first 4. Hempfield Area has been terrible for like 30 years, weird to say, right now, "on paper" they are one of the best in all of WPIAL, 3-0, points for and against is 147-17 over the three games, per game, first 3 games average is 49 to 5- pretty good. winning each game by 44 pts, actually that is the best for all of 4, 5, and 6A in WPIAL.

Pennsbury 26-21 over West. Pennsbury RB is the real deal[Mulbugh} spelling ? West #2 is super fast and scored a couple long ones.
