I really don't know a lot about either DTE or NP this year. Call my prediction a gut thing based on some small bits of information. NP beating LaSalle is a statement. We just don't know how good LaSalle is this year, so we don't know how much of a statement. Given the recent history and reputation of LaSalle, I think they still are a higher end program, near the top of the food chain. So that has me thinking that NP is pretty good. Plus LaSalle's D is considered by most to be of high quality, If this is in fact so, NPs O must be pretty good.
My impression of DTE may be faulty. I see them as a big strong tough team, whose weakness is a lack of team speed. I may be wrong, but that is my perception. If they do lack team speed, especially in the secondary, Udinski will have his way with them tossing the ball to Johns, who is a very high end talent, Hendley, and Hubler who are both quality fast receivers. That is why I think NP wins solidly. But again I am prepared to be very wrong.
I love it when two quality teams line up across from each other and we have several of those games tonight. The game I am going to Neshaminy at Pennridge is one such game. I expect a real backyard brawl and hope Neshaminy's speed and skill can counter Pennridge's great (big and tough) LB corps led D.
