Scott Stephens will be the next coach at WC East. He has been coaching at East since 2010ish, Mainly as WRs coach and he is also a PE teacher in the school. He also coaches both indoor and outdoor track.
East has some talent coming back. They will take a huge hit from graduation. They have a stud RB and some solid receivers. The QB will most likely be a sophomore who lit up the field playing freshman ball. The one thing East will miss from Gueriera was his ability to keep talent from going to the private schools, ironically they will have to compete with Dave G for kids in the middle school.

Stop this crap of competing w Malvern North Broad. Kids have been going to Malvern when East was good and even elite it opened in the mid 70s. The geographic area can afford the superior education and sports programs which East does not match. You sound as bad as our idiot biased inept Daily Local News sports writers.

Yea I never said that East was superior in anyway. I just find it ironic that the man who helped keep kids from going to the private schools will now be trying to take them from going to the school that he just coaches

East has never competed w Malvern. East draws from East Goshen and Westtown. These affluent families can afford the superior education and sports programs of Malvern. Why would they want there kids going to the ordinary public school? If East could actually get a solid football program in place they would be stealing kids who would normally go to Malvern. I think most long time locals would agree.

Correction, Chesmont, East doesn't pool from Westtown that's Rustin territory. They pool from East Goshen/West Goshen and parts of the borough of West Chester. If any family wants to send their kid to Malvern or Episcopal or wherever there's no shortage of money anywhere in West Chester.

I don't know that Guerriera being at Malvern changes it that much as most of those kids would go to Malvern anyway. I think he's going to be more effective getting the Delco kids who would go to O'Hara/Bonner/St. Joe's Prep since he has the background in the Delco parishes.

I'll take your word not a fan. I thought East still had the area behind golf club apts on other side of Rt 3. Either way., bucks in most of west chester school district. Malvern may make a bigger splash at the Delco Cyo all star game w a new coach, that guy did a nice job at East. I hope the new coach at East succeeds. Rustin seems like the only decent west chester football school anymore
