With one of the most high profile jobs finally being filled (Pine-Richland), which other jobs have been filled or are out there?

I'm in District 1 so I'll post the ones that I have heard but I know there's more out there:

Pottstown-?
Pennsbury-Snyder?
West Chester Henderson-?
CR South-CJ Sydzlik
Upper Moreland-Adam Beach
Garnet Valley-Eric Van Wyk

Any others out there? Any big jobs coming open across the state?

Been on other topics but here are a few.

Dallastown hired Levi Murphy
Eastern York hired Bud Kyle
Columbia looking
Reading looking

Thanks Stalk, Reading seems like it could be good spot for a young coach looking to turn around a struggling program but with some athletes to work with. Obviously, their b-ball team is proof they have talent in that area.

Anyone out in District 3 that can make a name? Any assistants at Wyo, Berks Catholic, Mifflin, Wilson that could make them relevant?

Reading always struck me as like a Philly type school (i.e., George Washington, Northeast) that with the right person, could give you a few good seasons due to enrollment.

They and Upper Darby are certainly two of the sleeping giants in the state. I think part of the problem getting accomplished assistants to take a chance is they are somewhat entrenched where they are and simply put....happy. How cool is it under the tutelage of one of the greats (Dahms at Wilson since 2006, Wolfrum at Wyo 48 yrs (!), Keeley at Berks Cath since inception 2011, 10 yrs b4 that at Reading Holy Name as HC and then all the more difficult leaving. There's the order of succession to consider as well, knowing these guys have to retire at some point. And all three of those staffs are close to the "topic RHS" being in Reading or the burbs to know of Reading High's plusses and minuses.
It would take an exceptional coach like Matt Ortega turning York around (before Coatesville) or Cal Everett doing same at Harrisburg. York High showed some special talent on the field the last 5 years (41-12) and in Ortega's run (04-08, 37-18, 20-4 last 2 yrs) and Everett at Hburg (11-present 88-42, 58-13 last 6). It can be done with the right guy!

And yes, Reading has always been a power in hoops going W A Y back; back, back, back, back, back as Boomer use to say at ESPN.

Reading's administration needs coaches in the building. They were relevant when Wolksi was there. He had them rolling. Al had coaches in the building. A job that big needs accountability in the hallways.

District-3 head coaching info for 2022.
McCaskey; Ben Thompson (Coatesville grad) promoted from interim (Aug) to FT, JV coach last 2.
Conestoga Valley; Gerad Novak (39 years in CV system) retired. Replacement....?
Elizabethtown; Andy Breault retires after 4-year stint. Replacement....?
Pequea Valley; (Pronounced Peck-Way) named Mike Choi HC for his 2nd stint at the helm.

All the above are from the Lancaster-Lebanon League (The LL) which to my understanding hasn't changed its name to LLB with acceptance of 13 teams from the Berks Inter County FB league including some established powers/programs.

W/L reflects last 10 years of the top Berks-ICFBL teams.
** Sec-1 Governor Mifflin, 90-29, Exeter Twp 81-33, Berks Catholic 108-25.
** Sec-2 Wyomissing 110-21, Conrad Weiser 71-41.

Stalk, what will that league look like? Big school/small school or will it be geographic? Will they have crossover games? Could be some very good matchups brewing like Mifflin-Manhiem Township, or Wyomissing-Lampeter-Strasburg, or even Manheim Central-Exeter.

not_a_fan........will look like this, grouped by classification (largest to smallest) to start, modified every 2 years....as per PIAA/enrollment figures.

Section 1: Reading, McCaskey, Hempfield (60-50 last 10), Manheim Township (79-35), Wilson (102-23), Penn Manor, Cedar Crest.
Only change here is the edition (edited; make that addition!) of Reading from the Berks FB League. Wilson and Township rule Section-1 with Penn Manor and Hempfield awaiting a coach to bring together an abundance of talent at both.

Section 2: Governor Mifflin, Lebanon, Exeter Twp, Muhlenberg, Warwick, Conestoga Valley, Manheim Central.
This will be exciting and one of the more competitive sections (divisions) in the state with Warwick (47-18 last 6) and Manheim Central (99-22 last 10) going head-to-head with Gov. Mifflin (90-29 last 10) and Exeter (81-33 last 10).

Section 3: Elizabethtown, Ephrata, Solanco, Twin Valley, Daniel Boone, Fleetwood, Garden Spot.
Boone's just waiting for someone to awaken the ghosts (79-28, 03-11), Solanco to a lesser degree with some tough, hard-nosed kids coming out of Quarryville.

Section 4: Cocalico, Lampeter-Strasburg, Donegal, Octorara, Conrad Weiser, Elco, Berks Catholic, Wyomissing.
Pound for pound, probably the best conference in the LL. Cocalico (86-34 last 10) and Lampeter Strasburg (79-40) are the LL bullies now joined by Wyo (110-21), Berks Cath (108-25) and Weiser (71-41) of the Berks making for another strong section.

Section 5: Kutztown, No. Lebanon, Hamburg, Schuylkill Val, Annville-Cleona, Lancaster Cath, Pequea Val, Columbia.

About crossovers. They had a lot of push back the last 4 years with mandatory cross overs assigned by LL officials. For example, Wilson was "mandated" to play Manheim Central 4 straight years. Of course........we all love mandates! Warwick played Hempfield x 4, Township vs Cocalico x 4 and so forth. They didn't involve the schools with the opponent selected. So it got tough with Wilson having scheduled Central Dauphin, yearly rival Gov. Mifflin and Exeter, then the league slate including good stuff from Manheim Township and Hempfield.

This year (again with Section-1) Wilson opens with 3 yet to be determined non-section games with the opener on 8/26, (Central Dauphin will be one) and 2 TBA. Then into section play vs Reading, Cedar Crest, TBA....(maybe Phila-ML King), then Hempfield, Penn Manor, McCaskey, Township in final.

For the upcoming season, the league is suggesting they schedule cross over games. But you can be sure few will go out of their way to play Wilson, Township, Gov Mif, Man Cent et al!
