Having seen a lot of teams in the Philly area and following state scores can anyone really challenge these teams for championships?Western part of state challengers?

6A St. Joe's Prep: Their offensive line and the skill they have lead by Swift makes them to talented to be stopped. Challengers: winner of Coatesville vs North Penn. Both have talented teams with speed.

5A Archbishop Wood: With Webb and Blackshear they have two explosive players who can score anytime they have the ball. Add in Pitts and Thompson and the QB improving weekly they are the clear favorite. Challengers: Whitehall and maybe Academy Park out of District 1.

4A Imhotep: Maybe the only team with the athleticism and coaching to beat Prep in the state. Now that's a game I would love to see. Challengers: Becahi and Berwick don't have the speed.

2A Southern Columbia: they are rolling teams again this year. Challengers: Dunmore

Speaking on 6A it looks like a prep/ pcc final. Two teams loaded with d1 talent. Np may have difficulty with coatesville and if get past them looking at perk valley . That would be 3 straight tough ones to get to prep and just aren't talented enough to break through. 5A on eastern side familiar with Springfield and academy park and both don't have enough to get past wood. 2A I'll be a little sentimental and go with Dunmore, have family there and is how I like my deer meat.

Four touchdown underdog.

Went 6-4 during the regular season. With the configuration of 5A, Whitehall will essentially have a standing state playoff berth.

Their wide receiver, Dez Boykin, is one of the best juniors in the state. A true burner with great hands. I think he has over 1,000 yards and 20 total TDs between rushes, catches, and returns. Quarterback Zach Gilbert is the head coach'a son and was the second team all league QB. They put Boykin, their tight end, and two offensive linemen on the all league team.

Spread offense, lots of short throws. Not a big commitment to the running game. Line has a little size with two guys in the 260 range and the rest hovering in the low 200s. They're a nice team, not to the level of the Barkley led Whitehall teams in the last few years (particularly 2013) and won't challenge Wood if they meet up.

West Catholic isn't getting much attention in 2-A due to Southern Columbia and Dunmore being loaded again. WC could be the upset pick in the 6 divisions in the East. The Burrs are always dangerous ,and if they don't turn the ball over as they did last year in the playoffs ,I think they have a chance to surprise favored teams.

Regarding 6A, I appreciate the strength of the Prep and the unstoppable Swift but if you think PCC doesn't have a chance you are wrong. I predict a seasaw high scoring game with both teams scoring 45 -50 plus points. That is, assuming that both teams make it to Hershey, which isn't a given. PCC is loaded and IMO is better than last year's state title team. Trust me they are itching to go at the Prep. In any case, it should be a very entertaining high scoring game.
