The WPIAL need to start

Combining school districts. Maybe the Covid crisis will speed this up with districts combining to save money. The fact that the WPIAL barely has enough schools to field a 6A playoff is troubling. Time for a mass consolidation for the WPIAL. There should be half of the schools they have now , with the population decline time to pool resources

It is crazy that WPIAL only has 9 6A teams counting Butler who is playing independent. If Baldwin wouldn't have moved up, there would only be 7 teams playing for the championship since P-R moved down.

It's also crazy for the PIAA to have six classifications.

I think the WPIAL should have half the teams it has now. There should not be a school under the AAA classification

There are a couple in PIAA D1 that may need to merge or fold (it's not the lack of schools soo much the lack of participation / interest). If there is no 2020 season that will give schools & leagues time to figure things out.
