Can anyone give me any scoop on this kid? He seems to be standing out at Senior Bowl practice and Mike Mayock loves him. Apparently he played his HS ball at Wissahickon. I don't remember him.

He was a finalist for National Defensive Player of the Year in FCS this year for 'Nova and a First Team All American (side note - it was a really good year for Pennsylvania kids at the FCS level, maybe worth another post). He had a solid year for the Wildcats as a junior, then positively blew up this season.

I think he's a kid who was really raw coming out of high school and improved a ton in terms of skill while putting on a huge amount of weight. He came to Villanova 6'7 215 and is now 6'7 290. I think he didn't start playing football until high school, and obviously Wissahickon isn't exactly a power house, so there was a lot of room for polishing once he got to college. And it sounds like he's worked really hard and soaked everything up to really tap into his potential.

How things have changed. So I think his sr. year wasn't Wiss like a 15 or 16 seed and they beat the #1 seed. Was it Downingtown East (West?). I just remember seeing that kid and then seeing that they won their playoff game in an upset. Will we see that again?

He was on a very good Wissahickon team. Kid was 1st team all league DE. Very raw coming out of high school, I think soccer was his first sport. He had a big long frame that easily put on weight. I think Wiss was a 3-5-3 team that year and he was the strong side DE. From what I heard a smart kid with a good work ethic. Glad to hear his hard work at Nova will get him to the NFL. Hope he makes the final cut. I'll be rooting for him (unless he gets drafted by the Cowboys that is).
