Ray Gionta steps down as head coach at Sun Valley. Will become line coach at Ridley!

Thats awesome. Ridley needed a 25th coach to fill their staff vacancy! Obviously got someone with a tremendous amount of experience and knows the Central League.

That's unfortunate as I thought he did a decent job and put a solid product on the field this year. Other than Rustin, Unionville and Great Valley having coaches in place for awhile the SCCL.. I mean Chesmont American is like a coaching carousel for the other programs. I hope Avon Grove gets help (like 9th grade programs back in place) to help a great guy Harry O'Neil.

Outside of Rustin, Great Valley and Unionville, the Ches-Mont American is very weak and coaches don't seem to last long, Octorara is leaving D1 next year and is moving to District 3 if Im not mistaken.

I think the new realignment from this past year and future realignment of conferences could really help some of these teams that always seem to be in the bottom of their leagues constantly.
