Compiled from a bunch of sources. Pittsburgh Post Gazette covered all of D7 plus Altoona, Lehigh Valley Live and the Pocono Record for D11. MaxPreps had all of the D2 and D4 teams, plus a lot of D3. The rest of D3 was covered by Berks GaneDay, PennLive, and Lancaster Online, Ted Silary had the Catholic League, and the most scattered was D1 where I used the Doylestown Daily Intellugencer, the Chesmont and Central League leaders from PaPrepLive, and Philly.com (which also had the Public League).

That's the reason I do it. I've been more on top of it in past years, but life gets in the way.

I think it's crazy that no outlet keeps statewide stats. I know in Ohio you're able to get them through the OHSAA site. But I think it's fun info to have.

What surprises me about the rushing leaders in the lack of representation in the western part of the state. Only the Bethel Park backs and Turner White from North Alleghenies are close to the top 20. For the most part, all of the offense out west is through the air.

I noticed that also. Hard to believe the WPIAL has become more pass than run.

Rover,I saw film of Jahon Worth on the big ticket and he is the real deal. What are his measurable ? He certainly makes Parkland a threat .

Worth is 6'0 235, I think runs a high 4.6 40. Weight room warrior. He's an even better linebacker than running back (first team all state last year and set a Lehigh Valley record with 170 tackles). I think all of his recruiting attention is service academies, Ivy League/patriot league schools plus some high end FCS. Really nice player. Parkland has an assembly line of great middle linebackers and he's the latest one.

Worth is also apparently going to wrestle heavyweight for Parkland this year. He won 25 matches as a freshman, but stopped wrestling to focus on football. He's a great athlete and should be fun to get back on the mat. He probably missed too much development time to be a serious contender, but I bet he has a really nice year.

For a guy who is built like Robert Newhouse I thought he was incredibly light on his feet, able to step through trouble around the line. He can be caught from behind, but 30 or 40 yards downfield that's not so bad.

He's a really nice back. If anything, I've been surprised that he wasn't the feature back last year or even as a sophomore. He's a really nice athlete - top end speed is the only thing that keeps him from getting looks from the big boys.

If you all remember down there, as a sophomore, Worth made something like 13 tackles in that state playoff game against LaSalle that they won in overtime and was probably their best defender in that run to state finals.

Also, the guy who really impresses me on the leaders list from our area is Sone Ntoh. He is big (5'11 210) and has really good vision and speed. I think he's getting looks from the Temple/Rutgers level of schools right now, but I wouldn't be shocked if he gets more attention as junior film starts to go out. He's the whole package.
