First, in fairness, you should state what Trump actually said. Then, maybe you should explain why he was wrong. Details, Sammy. Otherwise, you look like just another hit-and-run liberal. Otherwise, you are unlikely to get a response, except maybe from reluctant. Don't get me wrong; I'm not betting that this is going to happen!!
Trump said "Look what happened in Sweden last night." Well ... nothing particular happened in Sweden "last night." What happened "last night" was that Trump saw a report on Fox News that he went on to misrepresent.
The situation in Sweden is complex. The overall crime rate has not gone up, but the rate for some kinds of crimes have. Sweden has taken in a vastly greater number of Middle East refugees (even in raw numbers. let alone in terms related to the size of the population) than the Obama administration ever contemplated taking in and of course geography makes it much easier for the U.S. to "vet" refugees and immigrants.

I can't trust anything the NY Times writes, as it's nothing more than the public relations wing of the Democratic Party. I haven't ever been to Sweden, but have heard stories both ways about the immigration issues.
Bottom line to me is that this is largely a clash of civilizations that is going to play out over decades, but I am not close enough to the situation in Sweden. Some Muslims want to assimilate, but I don't think anyone is sure of the percentages either way. I think each country needs to be careful about whom they allow to enter their country. Failure to do so will have very bad long-term repercussions.

Reluctant, this where you should probably stay out of an adult discussion. Plus, you're blocking me anyway, right! I was referring to the NY Times statements and quotes about crime levels in Sweden. Most or all politically related articles that they write have an agenda. If the immigrants committed higher than normal amounts of crimes, it would not surprise me if either the statistics were fixed or if the NYT used context to minimize the facts.
We agree on something. I think that both countries should have been included.

Stalker, saying something once is a mistake. Repeating it over and over again is a lie. In this case with Sweden it was a mistake OR he tried to sneak one over on his fans. But then you have Trump being the lead birther where he repeated lies for 5 years after the truth was solidified. Look at his repeated "I had the largest elector college win ever" and then when finally called out on it, "well I was just given that information". What happens when he's dealing with something pretty heavy like being handed intelligence and figuring out whether to go to war?

In spite of this, he's actually doing things, things most of us regardless of party affiliation have been concerned about for years, eg trade imbalance, border concerns, relations with Israel....instead of "eloquently" babbling on about it as past administrations did or frittering away like the "professional" demonstrators.
And I know he will be handled by his handlers with the important stuff and that issues like Sweden and electoral counts are to many of us, insignificant.

So you're okay with the idea that if you propose a new regulation you have to remove two existing regulations? Isn't that kind of odd? Regulations is why we don't have firework factories blowing up small towns each year or why thousands don't die when a new drug hits the market.
I understand there is over regulation, but that just seems childish to say 1 in 2 out.
