Did anyone else think it was a little over the top having Swift in the game that late? If I were the Georgia coach and heard about that, I'd call either Infante or the father and have a heart to heart with them. Still trying to figure out why Gabe left him in the game, what with his ankle history and the playoffs coming up!! Just sayin'.

He wanted to be in there ... if you noticed, he waived off the sub in the 4th qtr. Also, little pay back involved from an image tweeted last year of the Prep player losing a tooth during the last meeting. Losing team concedes with subs first, and that didn't happen, so the march was on to 70.

I gathered there were some things said, certainly on social media, by LaSalle people about Swift in particular--especially about LaSalle holding Swift to low numbers in last year's championship. I also think Swift must have felt quite frustrated after having such a good first five quarters of the season to be pretty much out of action for four games, especially the Wood game. And with Ryan as SJP's game, the Prep may have thought Swift won't be playng the whole game.

From that standpoint alone, I don't envy any coach, that is, balancing your best weapon with success verse preservation.
Ironically, the way that game was going, who knows what would happen with the rate of scoring? 98 total points makes for a ridiculous over/under.
Felt sorry for La Salle's Madden. Over two hundred yards and three TDs.
By the way, with Swift, I don't think I ever saw a player separate faster from the defense. He may have had to zigzag thru the line, but once he got into the defensive backfield, he was gone. They couldn't converge on him! Special!!

Didn't see the game.....but your saying if an inferior opponent is leaving his/her starters in game in attempt to keep respectable, the coach of the superior team should just keep laying it on them??....... and that a coach maybe influenced by a "tweet" sent from one group of juveniles to another?..... and the player "waived off" the coach's sub in the 4th quarter?

No problem, if that makes you guys sleep better at night, so be it. Not for me to argue, I'm sure we'll experience more of this with the current regime in charge.
I know the LaSalle boys get a good dose of compassion lectures with their religious teachings. Comes in handy when they compete against Prep in the overwhelming majority of all team sports where the competitive balance is obscene in LaSalle's favor.
I was there, Lasalle did a great job of trying to keep punching even when down. I didn't see anyone say Prep was pouring it on. I was on LS side. Bigger question is what does LS do this week. They have 1 signature win....Pennsbury. If PB doesn't win this week LS won't have a win over a team with a winning record if they don't beat Wood.

I said after week two if this year's Prep team is healthy and focused, not sure anyone on this side of the state, and perhaps west as well can stay within striking distance to them. I guess NP, Neshaminy or whoever the D1 rep will be will have their say, but I don't see it. Time will tell...

Not sure one could consider Pennsbury a signature win, not this year. LaSalle has a ways to go, they're a less experienced younger roster on the whole, hopefully the future is brighter?

Yes, I was trying to be nice to both PB and LS. By name it is a signature win and right now PB does have a winning record. We will see on future. I am on the opposite side of this thought, but some transfers in certainly would change the landscape. People have to ask where they would be without Madden this year. Uptown...game is tough to predict. Wood has to be 3 td fave....if LS decides to rest guys for D12...unrealistic to say 35-7 Wood?

A fair question was asked about the RB ... a question on many minds. I provided some insight. You've disagreed with that insight and went down the self righteous road.

I didn't want or expect this to turn into a pissing match. Anyone could have come on and posted a thread with the final score as soon as the game ended. That didn't happen because what did happen was obvious to everyone.
