I'll happily eat crow here, Saucon completely out physical-ing Becahi in the first half. Big kickoff return after the BC touchdown and a TD pass with 6 seconds left gives them an 8 point lead at the break. Only have attempted two passes, both long completions. And in a stunning turn of events, a Matt Evancho defense looks great against a dangerous offense.

Nate Stewart returns a punt to the Saucon 30, but a pair of sacks forces a punt. SV defense really bulling their necks in this one.

Saucon Valley holds on. Shuts out Becahi in the second half. I think that is the Colonial leagues first ever win over an LVC/EPC team in the playoffs. Great win and revenge for last year's title game.

Throw some salt on that crow Rover, it doesn't taste all that bad. May be joining you with preseason thoughts having Central Dauphin playing Parkland in final. Looks shaky now, not seeing Trojan team I expected this time of year and CD not developing a good passing game. Still fun stuff so we'll see.
Appreciated the write ups. Always good stuff.

Also, Matt Evancho with all the post game shade in his interview about home grown talent and kids who grew up together and came up through the program showing what they can do. Sure to have a lot of people angry tomorrow when those quotes run in the paper.

Good for him, he probably heard all week his team can't play with the mighty Beca. I can't wait to hear his quotes after playing the Imhotep/Wood winner. :D That will certainly be a David vs Goliath match-up if it comes to fruition. Looking at their enrollment, Saucon Valley barely a 3A school.

Oh that'll be a blood bath. Wood and Tep are playing different sports. I said on another thread, this SV team playing 4A in a six class world could do major damage, they're a year early. If and when Shiffert retires at Easton, I think Evancho has to be one of their first phone calls, he's done a really nice job with that program.

And at least one of Becahi's best players went to Saucon through his sophomore year, he left to wrestle at Beca when an upper weight wrestling spot opened up. The Hawks always had a good number of Hellertown/Saucon kids, I'm sure that played into the dig.
