Following CR North's victory over CR South on Saturday, round one of the post-season playoff games have been finalized with the Redskins drawing the Rams. Sporting a perfect record of ten wins and no defeats, just this past Friday night the Chad Brubaker coached squad knocked off the previously unbeaten Perkiomen Valley Vikings to take the PAC-TEN title -- the first for Spring-Ford in five years. A high scoring group -- see Methacton game -- they look like they bring quite a lot to the post-season table.

Then although I haven't dug into the details of the Rams just yet -- and no doubt Stalker will be providing us with plenty of information and I thank him for that in advance -- as this will be a road game for Neshaminy, and from just the quick look as I have made, the Redskins will certainly have their hands full with this very solid and also very well coached Spring-Ford club.

On a side-note here, Neshaminy and Spring-Ford have entertained each other five times in the past. In that regard, Spring-Ford High School resulted from the merger of the Royersford and Spring City School Districts in the mid-fifties. And as it was, in the early fifties Neshaminy played Royersford four times with the series ending in a very even split with each team claiming two wins. Then with almost sixty years passing before they would meet again it was just two seasons ago that the last Mark Schmidt coached Neshaminy team met the Rams in the second week of post-season play. The contest was played at Heartbreak Ridge and the Rams took an early lead before falling behind and ultimately losing in a wild affair that saw Neshaminy put fifty-six points on the scoreboard to Spring-Ford's twenty-seven.

Would love to hear thoughts from anyone who might have insights on this year's Ram club.

The Rams will be in RoFo Friday night around 7 pm. Should be a great atmosphere for a HS football game. 422 is a mess... Leave early.

You got a tough draw Skinner Man. I've followed them pretty close per interest in Coach, Wilson, district roots, etc. Back to you later and real interested hearing what others have to say.
