How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“Everything has been going well. We are returning almost all of our starters this year and there is a different atmosphere at practice. The players and coaches are working really hard and we are expecting great things to come.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“One thing I feel our team could improve on would be more discipline in our technique. We rep our technique in practice and then in games it seems our technique goes out the window, but we have been improving on that this year.”
What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“Some of the keys for us would be staying mentally tough when we face adversity. Another would be staying away from penalties because I can remember we would have momentum on a drive, and it would all just be killed by penalties.
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
“Some of my goals would have a positive record and be the best team we can be. Also, to have no regrets after the season.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I would love to play college sports. Football has always been my favorite sport. It’s be a dream come true for me to play college football.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Since I’m on the younger side in the Class of 2023, I haven’t had a ton of recruiting but I’ve been reaching out to college though NCSA and Junior day camps, I’ve been in touch with coaches from Wingate and Findlay University. I’m trying to get as much exposure as I can. “
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not had any college visits. We were trying to set a few, but those fell through due to the pandemic.”
Do you have plans for game day trips this fall?
“I do not have any game day trips planned. Hopefully, I can get a few visits scheduled by next year at this time.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up was Georgia. I started watching them back in 2012, but now I’ve been a fan of Clemson because the coach I’ve been training with has a son who is the quarterbacks’ coach at Clemson, Brandon Streeter.”
