How did the high school football season go overall?
“After losing 17 seniors, our football team was young and inexperienced, so our record was only 3-7. However, I felt like we overcame many obstacles as a team and did the best we could do against the very good teams in 6A.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I’ve been working very hard in the weight room and I have gotten a lot stronger. We have a new strength coach that is incorporating new workouts into our weekly schedule.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I would like to dominate more on offense with my blocking and for defense. I would like to improve my hands and explosion to get more sacks and tackles.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Even though we still have some young players, I feel like our team is more experienced and stronger than last year, which should lead to more wins. I look forward to being a leader and captain on and off the field.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“The toughest competition we will face next season will definitely be Central Catholic and North Allegheny. They always have talented players, depth, and are well coached.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I definitely want to play Division 1 football in college. Both of my parents are former Division 1 collegiate athletes and I would like to follow in their footsteps.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“It has been an exciting off season being recruited by many wonderful schools. Some of the colleges that have contacted me are Cornell, Holy Cross, Penn, Yale, Harvard, Brown, and the University of New Hampshire to name a few.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Cornell, Penn, Yale, and New Hampshire are showing the most interest in me.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Due to basketball season, I haven’t visited any colleges yet, but I have several planned in March and in the spring.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I plan to visit Cornell and Penn in a couple of weeks to tour their campus and meet the football coaches.”
