How did the high school football season go overall?
“I think it went well considering the injuries and low numbers that we dealt with during the season. I really enjoyed the group of guys we had, especially the seniors. I’m proud of how we fought every week and I think we competed really well in the playoffs.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“For now, I’m just staying active around my house and getting some work with a few local trainers on my throwing and kicking.”

What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“At the moment, I’ve just been hitting the weight room to get bigger while watching film from last season and identifying things that I can do better next season.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think we have a great senior class coming in, and a strong group of returning starters to go with. If we can stay healthy, I think we’ll have a solid season.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Because everything changes so much on a year-to-year basis, it’s hard to predict. Right now, we’re just focusing on week 1 and we’ll go from there.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, football.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I took gameday visits to Michigan State, Columbia, MIT, University of Chicago, and Carnegie Mellon University this fall. I took a junior day visit to Washington University in St. Louis, and was planning to visit Princeton, Cornell, Macalester, Carleton, Williams College, Case Western Reserve University, Trinity College, and a few others after talking with coaches and receiving Junior Day invites.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“The main D1 schools that I’ve had good conversations with are Princeton and Cornell and as mentioned, I planned on taking junior day visits to both schools. In terms of high academic D3 programs, I’ve enjoyed talking to a few coaches from Williams College on the phone and getting to know more about their program.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“In addition to the schools already mentioned, I went to camps last summer at Yale, Harvard, and the University of Minnesota. I also took a day to visit Bucknell while I was near campus and visited Macalester and Carleton last summer while I was home in Minnesota.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I had planned on going on a few junior day visits, including Princeton, Cornell, and Williams College, but of course those have been postponed or cancelled. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to get out and see some schools this summer for camps and showcases.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Michigan State has always been my favorite team since I was a kid.”
