What were your initial thoughts when the football season was cancelled?
“As soon as I heard the season was canceled, I called my coach to see if it was true. He confirmed this but tried to keep things positive. Still, I was devastated.”

How do you feel about the decision as of now?
“To be frank, I am very disappointed and hurt. I’m disappointed because I’ve worked very hard and I feel as if this season would have been my breakout year. I’m hurt because I will never get to step on the same field with those seniors again. I want football to be my career, I can’t afford to take a year off while my competitors are grinding. This puts me at a disadvantage.”

What are your workout plans at this point going forward?
“I plan on going to Garage Strength, a local gym that specializes in strength training for athletes. I’ll be working on lane 5 speed train.”

What sport do you want to play at the college level?
“I want to work on getting bigger and more explosive, so it helps me with my physicality.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I want to play football at the next level and if the opportunity presents itself, I would like to run track as well as a dual sport athlete.”

Have any colleges offered you?
“No one right now, but I expect my performance in the near future to change that.”

What colleges are you trying to visit this fall?
“Not yet, but I’m hoping after this IMG showcase, I can turn some heads.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“If given the opportunity, I would love to visit some HBCUs.”
