What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I’ve been lucky to have access to my friend’s weight room, so I’ve been able to keep up with my lifts on the regular. I have also been doing conditioning with some other members of the football team, as well as some more individual sprinting workouts in order to work on my speed over this pandemic.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“Before this season starts, I’ll be working hard on my speed as I want to be able to run with the best of them come August. I am hoping to run a consistent 4.55-4.6 40 for camps this summer.”
How has Covid-19 factored into your workouts?
“Covid-19 has given me a new appreciation for our weight-room, as I’ve had to make do with the limited equipment I’ve had access to, but I’ll take what I can get and am still very grateful for it.:
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I am very excited about what our team could achieve this season. I have full expectations that all of our pieces will come together, and we will be competing for the top of the LL League. We’re heading into the season with triple the seniors we’ve had in the previous years, and I think the attitude we already have is going to pay off when the lights are on.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Our toughest opponent this season will likely be Warwick. They have a collection of players who are some of the best in the league. I have a lot of respect for them and look forward to seeing what we can do against them this year.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“The toughest player we will play will probably be Anthony Ivey. He’s a real burner and can be dangerous when given the opportunity. We’ll have to be on our A-game to lock him down.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I am looking to play football at the collegiate level.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Some schools I have been in contact recently include Dickinson, Muhlenburg, Case Western Reserve, and Ursinus.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I’d say Dickinson has shown me a lot of love over this period, and they certainly have an atmosphere over there that I can say not all college programs have. I’m looking forward to getting on their campus this fall.
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I was invited to a Lehigh game day last fall and was planning to visit CWRU in April, but sadly that had to be cancelled.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“With Covid-19 still looming, we haven’t made any official plans to visit any schools. We’re still waiting to see how things play out.”
What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“Some camps I’d really like to hit this summer would include Dickinson, Muhlenburg, Lehigh, Lafayette, and Villanova.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up has always been the University of Oregon. I grew up watching De’Anthony Thomas and Marcus Mariota and quickly became a huge fan of their fast paced and explosive offense. I was able to go to a game in Autzen this November, where it was Justin Herbert’s last home game as well as their Civil War game against the Beavers. It was a super cool experience and I felt like a little kid again.”
