What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“My team has done a two-week camp for phase one and now that we’re in phase two, we’re getting our team segments in as well as lifting on the black top in our stadium. We have been conditioning hard as well as lifting hard.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I have improved on my strength and speed at the same time as I grew and developed a bigger body mass.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I want to improve on my footwork a little bit more as the off-season goes along.”
How has Covid-19 factored into your workouts?
“COVID definitely has had an effect on my workouts but sitting in my house wasn’t an option. I have a medal kayak in my yard that I would clean, squat, bench, and military press. I would go on a 2-mile run from my house to the high school about 4 days a week. My coaches as well sent all players a workout scheme day in and day out.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I feel like my team will be on the uprising as nobody will expect us to be anything. Our team is hitting double digits this season, no doubt in my mind.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Our toughest competition this year will more than likely be Harrisburg and my teammates and I won’t leave the field unless we’re covered in blood and there’s a lot of points on the board. They’re a beatable team, but whoever shows up to play that night will win the battle.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“The toughest individual player we will meet this year no doubt in my mind will be Jason Henderson. If you want to talk about an athlete, the kid’s just a freak of nature, but one man can’t win football games.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I would love to wrestle in college and play football as well, but as of right now, I’m looking to do both.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“As of right now, really only one college has had me on campus to recruit me and that would be Kutztown for wrestling. I have received a letter from Franklin and Marshall for wrestling, but as of right now I’m not really on anyone’s radars. Actually, I have Bloomsburg for football looking at me.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“The only college trip I have made so far was to Kutztown University.”
Do you have any plans for college visits this fall? If so, where?
“As of right now, I have no trips planned. Hopefully after the football and wrestling seasons, I will have a lot to look at.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up, I was a Penn State guy. I loved watching Penn State wrestling and football.”
