Why did you end up picking Colgate?
“I ended up picking Colgate for a number of reasons. My parents and I sat down, and we looked at all the schools that were recruiting me and tried to decide on my top school. In the end, Colgate came out on top, and that’s when I knew it was the place for me.”

What other colleges did you consider?
“I was talking to about 25 schools, and out of those schools, I realistically considered 5 schools: Vanderbilt, Penn, Georgetown, Fordham, and Princeton.”

What was different about Colgate when you decided?
“Colgate truly stood out to me in so many ways. Not only is the football amazing, but they are one of the best academic institutions in the country. You can’t get much better than that.”

How important were the coaches in your decision?
“The coaches were very important in my decision. That’s who I am going to be around for my 4 years there, so I wanted to make sure they were what I was looking for. Coach Dakotsky, who recruited me, was just an awesome guy and I felt like we were really able to connect. Also, Coach Hunt is just amazing. He really cares about his guys and would do anything for them.”

Are any other schools still recruiting you?
“Yes, I do have a number of schools still recruiting me.”

What are you doing for camps this summer?
“This summer, I haven’t planned on doing any camps. I’m just focused on my team and doing everything in my power to help us achieve our goals.”

When are you going to get back up to Colgate for a visit?
“I don’t have an exact date planned, but I’d definitely love to get back up there this summer. I’ll definitely be there for a couple games this year too.”
