How did the high school football season go overall?
“This football season went a lot better than the past few years as a team. Our record does not show it being 1-9, but we were scoring a lot more and our defense was lock down. The other team would always have one big break away play that they would score on. We had three kids with 80 plus tackles, so I saw this season as a boost.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I am a multi-sport athlete and always wrestle and play baseball, so I am focused on wrestling right now and hitting the weight room hard. Getting my body fat low is a big part of my goal and have a very high conditioning rate. Once wrestling is over, I will transition into baseball and then when baseball is over, it will be all focus towards football throughout the summer.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I am trying most to improve on speed. We worked a lot on form tackling the last two years, so if I add speed to it, then that will improve my play a lot.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We have a new coach coming in for the next season, so I don't know how it will go. If our team puts in the work in the off-season, we will be a good football team, but we have to put in the work as a whole.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Our toughest competition next year will most likely be Bellwood. They have a big roster compared to us and always have very good conditioned kids. On top of that, they are a strong team as well.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I do plan on continuing my academic and athletic career at a higher level after high school. My two main sports are football and wrestling, and if I get my speed up, I am definitely considering football at the collegiate level.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I am not being recruited.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have gone and watched a couple football games and visited SFU.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I plan on visiting my top three schools I would like to continue at soon.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I have always liked Penn State as a kid, and also I am a fan of Old Dominion University.”
