What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“As of late, I have been working out with the team 3 days a week as well as competing in 7 on 7’s and doing certain workouts on my own time.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I feel like I have improved on my speed and my flexibility since last season. I’ve dropped a little bit a weight, and I feel lighter on my feet, which I think will certainly benefit me throughout the season.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“Before the season begins, I would like to continue to work flexibility, as there is always room for improvement.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I feel like our team has a lot of potential. We have a lot of returning guys on the front 7 of our defense and a lot of athleticism in the secondary. Offensively, we have most of our offensive line returning, and we have a quarterback who’s been working hard this offseason to help us make a deep playoff push.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“There are a lot of great teams in our conference who will always be great competition. Gateway is always a difficult team to face, especially with the talent that they have. Penn Trafford and McKeesport are great teams as well. It’s always fun to go up against those teams, but really every team in our conference cannot be taken lightly.”
Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“Our week one game is with Plum, although I’m not sure if we’re going to have a game zero or not. Plum is a big rival for us, and they have been for quite some time. They have a lot of returning guys this year, so it’ll be fun and exciting game to be a part of when week 1 comes around.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I do want to play sports in college, and football is the sport that I want to play.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“As of right now, I have an offer from Air Force, and I’ve been receiving interest from various schools. It is from schools such as Lafayette, Lehigh, Yale, Penn, Pitt, and more.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I think it’s been pretty balanced between all of the schools that have shown interest, but I would say Air Force because of the offer.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have made trips this summer to various camps, which include Pitt, Air Force, Penn, Lehigh, and Lafayette.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I do not have any more planned trips for the summer at this moment.”
What camps did you do this summer and how did they go?
“I went to those camps I mentioned above, and I feel like I did well with each one. There is always room to improve of course, but I put everything out there on the field each and every time.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I really didn’t have a favorite college growing up, and I think that’s what made watching college football so interesting. I wasn’t rooting for one specific team; I was really just enjoying the experience.”
