What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“Before Covid-19, I trained almost every day at a gym called Power Train, which I went to 4 times a week and after each workout I would train my speed and agility with coaches to get faster and improve my quickness laterally as well.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“One major goal I want to hit before the start of the season is to hit 210 pounds. I feel like with a little more size, I could be a smarter and more dominant player against tougher teams. I would also like to hit a low 4.7 40-yard dash.”
How has Covid-19 factored into your workouts?
“Covid has hurt a lot for me. I had camps that were canceled and many 7v7 tournaments that were postponed due to Covid. But with gyms being closed, I still workout with my coaches via FaceTime 3 times a week until the gyms open back up to get back to work.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“Personally, I believe we could have a home playoff game this year. We have a lot of skilled returning players that are going to help the team dramatically, as well as a few offensive linemen that are returning to help and fill in the loss of the seniors who graduated.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I believe our toughest game of the year will be against Central Dauphin away. They are always a tough team and it’s always a dog fight every year against them.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“I would have to say Timmy Smith, running back from CD. He’s a good player and is going to be one of the best athletes we see all year against our defense.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I want to play football in college. It has always been one of my dreams to play at the next level and to play against kids from all around the nation, going head to head every Saturday.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Colleges have been showing interests like Lincoln University, Shippensburg University, Murray St., and Allegheny College.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Lincoln is showing a lot of interest in me as well as Allegheny College.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“No, not yet.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“After this football season, I hope to have a few options to visit colleges that show an interest in me.”
What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“So far this off-season, I have gone to two camps and plan on going to three more. I went to a Get Recruited camp in New Jersey in February and also went to an All State Prep camp in Palmyra, Pennsylvania where I talked to a recruiter from Michigan. The other three camps are a junior day at Shippensburg University that I received an invitation for, as well as a Next-Gen camp in New Jersey, and a PSR showcase camp in Philadelphia.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“When I was younger, I was a die-hard Alabama fan and just loved that university. But when I just kept getting older, I fell in love with Penn State and have been to multiple games. The white-outs and atmosphere up there are amazing.”
