How did the high school football season go overall?
“Overall, the Central Valley Warriors football season was a success. We achieved a lot as a team by winning the WPIAL championship and making the PIAA state championship. We had a great team and I’m going to miss playing with this group.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I am jumping right into baseball. We start winter workouts on Saturday for pitchers and catchers. I am looking forward to getting prepared for Spring training in Florida in March. I also plan on working out with the football team in the winter as well.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I want to improve my quickness and strength. I feel that in order to take my game to the next level, I need to improve in both of those categories. On the field, I want able to stay on blocks longer and also being able to shed blocks.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel that our team has a great chance on repeating as champions. We have many great players returning, even though we’re losing seven starting seniors.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“The toughest competition is always going to be Aliquippa because of their brand and their team skill. No team has stayed as consistent as them for so long. We have been fortunate to beat them the last 3 times we have played them. The rivalry will always have the same feel every year.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would love to continue to play sports in college. I started playing baseball when I was 6 years old and until now thought baseball was my best chance to play in college. I didn’t start playing football until 8th grade. The opportunity presented itself for me to have a lot of playing time this year. I took advantage of it and gained valuable experience. I am leaning towards pursuing a baseball career even though a football career is not out of the question for me.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“None at the moment.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Not at this time, but this summer I plan to.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Pitt and Ohio State have been my favorite colleges growing up. They both are colleges that would give me great athletic and academic opportunities if I so choose to attend either of those schools.”
