How did the high school football season go overall?
“The season went pretty well. We had a solid all-around team and we made it to states. It was a pretty big deal for our team but didn’t come out with the result we wanted. We lost to Saint Joseph’s Prep 35-13.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Right now, I’m playing basketball for my school, lifting, and trying to keep my weight up as much as possible. I’m going to keep my routine going so I can either stay at my current weight or even gain more. I’m 100% focused on basketball right now and once it’s over I’m right back with the football team in the weight room and starting to throw again.”

What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“My whole game needs work. I’m never satisfied with myself in what I’m doing because I always feel I could do better. I would like to tighten up my mechanics and start to get comfortable with throws I usually don’t throw and be able to throw out of awkward positions. I want to become comfortable in situations that usual people won’t be comfortable with in game. I think anybody can be a good pocket passer, but you can separate yourself from others by making the 50/50 balls into 70/30 balls or be able to escape and make a play rather than settling for negative yardage.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I will always be confident about my team. They are my brothers and I wouldn’t pick anyone else over them. My mindset for next season is ultimately to get back where we were and finish it our job of winning a state championship because I believe we have the pieces to do it. But I will always take the season week by week. It is never good to overlook a part of the season for a bigger picture.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“I haven’t looked much at other teams except for players that are returning that have made a big name for themselves. I will always expect the usual teams we play to get better. I will never underestimate our opponents. We had two losses in the regular season to Wilson and Manheim Township, so maybe I will emphasize them a lot, but you never know what they might have. I can’t stress over it right now in the off-season, I have to worry about my guys and what we are doing to get right before I begin to watch other teams.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I think the majority of high school athletes want to go to the next level for their sport and I do really badly. I have played football all my life and I would be very excited to be able to play at the next level. I will always be happy if I have equipment to suit up in everyday and a team to play for. I also play basketball, which I really enjoy too, but I think my future in college athletics would better if I sided with football.”

What colleges have been recruiting you
“I’m only a sophomore so I’m not really able to be recruited right now. That is what I heard from my senior teammates that are going to play in college. I have seen some colleges at my school and in the weight room sometimes to stop in and say hi but that’s about it. I don’t know who is interested and who is not, but right now I’m just going to focus on what I’m doing at the moment which is basketball.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I would love to start visiting some schools I could potentially have interest in.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up in Pennsylvania, I have basically been taught to root for Penn State always. I like their team a lot, but I usually don’t have teams I like. I have players I like to watch and learn from.”
