What have you been doing as of late with your workouts?
“So far, I’ve been working with my teammates after school every day for our team lifts while also doing extra work with Darnell Dinkins and 2/10th’s D-Brown throughout the off-season as well.”

What do you feel you have improved on the most since football ended?
“I feel like I’ve really improved my determination toward the game. Losing last year in the WPIAL championship really left a bad taste in my mouth, so I feel like I’m more determined now to lead my team back to victory, especially being a senior leader this year.”

What are your areas of focus going forward?
“Going forward, I want to focus on my speed and technique. I want to play Division I football, and if I want to turn that dream into reality, I need to get faster and more technically sound.”

How do you believe your team will be next season?
“I believe that my team will return to our traditional success. We are expecting nothing less this year. We finished 10-3 last season, and that is unacceptable by our program’s standards. We are looking to be the powerhouse that everyone knows us as.”

What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2018?
“Our toughest games are going to be Pine Richland and North Allegheny. Both teams are returning very talented players, and we have to play both of them on the road. These games will be crucial in WPIAL 6A playoff seeding as well as future WPIAL/State championship implications.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“The majority of colleges that have been recruiting me are Division I FCS. I currently have two offers from Columbia and Cornell. I have received the majority of the interest from Ivy League schools, and I believe that one of these Universities is where I want to end up for the next four years.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“The school that is recruiting me the hardest is Columbia. They were the first school to show major interest, and the first school to offer me. The interest is mutual as well. I’m a city-guy, so college in New York City is a great pitch for myself personally. I truly appreciate everything this staff has done to reach out to me and express their interest. Expect some big news coming soon regarding this school.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have made a fair amount of college visits over the past few months. Namely, I’ve visited Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Bucknell, St. Francis, Penn, Princeton, and a couple others. I really enjoyed all of these visits and the hospitality of all of the coaching staffs.”

What camps are you going to this summer?
“I haven’t quite mapped out my plans for summer camp yet. The only camp I am 100% going to is Columbia because of a promise I made to their coach. But as far as other camps, I am not entirely sure yet.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I had two favorite colleges growing up. I’m originally from West Virginia, so I grew up as a WVU fan. But from a personal standpoint, I never wanted to attend that school, I was simply just an athletics fan. Since about seventh grade, I became obsessed with Harvard and the Ivy League. I wanted to make it one of my goals to make it to a school like that, and now thanks to my development at Central Catholic as a player and a student, that goal is now much closer.”
