What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“Due to the circumstances surrounding the Coronavirus, as of late I’ve been doing a lot of speed training. I go on runs to build my endurance and then after I do quick sprints.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“Since last football season, I’ve improved a lot on my route running and catch radius.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I want to hit the weights when this epidemic is over to get stronger, and I want to get better at reading defenses.”
How has Covid-19 factored into your workouts?
“Covid-19 has kept me from getting in the weight room, so I have to do a lot more weightless workouts such as pushups, pull ups, and jump squats.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I feel very confident in my football team this year. We lost some valuable players for sure last year, but I have faith that the young guys who now have some experience under their belts are ready to step up and make an impact.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I think Boner-Prendi or Archbishop Carroll will be our toughest competition this year.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“I’m not really worried about individual opponents. One player isn’t going to beat McDevitt, you need an army for that.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, it’s been my dream since I started playing to play football in college.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Lately I’ve been talking to the coaches from Ave Maria down in Naples, Florida.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“No, I’m focusing on my studies at the moment.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Yes. Whenever the Coronavirus settles, I’m going to be looking around.”
What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“I’m going to be attending Lauren’s First and Goal and various other camps.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Yes, my favorite college football team has always been Alabama. Roll Tide.”
